Surface had non-stop advertiesing at all the theaters I went to, so I don't think this is what they were hoping for. It looked pretty awful, and the general consensus so far hasn't been encouraging. I think this one will sink fast (pun intended).

It has been out of ideas for a looooooooooooong time now. They are having to create all kinds of events to keep people watching. Pretty soon someone having a baby or getting married will have to stop working as well, so they'll have to get down and dirty, creating big problems like one of the kids being gay, the mom having an affair, Ruthie stealing one of their family vehicles and running someone over, killing them, and then fleeing the scene, etc...
