I'm dying of waiting for Tuesday... I'm buying it with Crash and am going to watch it with one of my close friends.
Are the bonus features good? I heard they're really good!
I pre-ordered it about 5 weeks ago, and I guess they sent it once they had enough in stock. From here - http://www.movietyme.com
Extras so far are quite interesting; Jack was supposed to die half way through the series, it was even filmed!

I read he was supposed to die in the pilot.

Ya. Originally a big star was supposed to play Jack and be killed off in the first few episodes of the series.

No further into the series, to shake things up a little after they see him as the leader, then he gets killed by the 'monster'. They find him dead in the trees. . . . . .

TBOMK, that's a totally different place. [I think it's explained in The Divine Comedy.]
Sawyer is going to turn out to be something akin to a saint. (All of our perceptions are turned upside down here.) And the Hobbitt dude is bound to be villainous.

Lost finale might be a movie:
http://www.cinecon.com/news.php?id=0509072
Okay IF this is true...
The good thing:
The show won't run for longer than three seasons apparently which for this kind of a show is a good thingas well all have discussed.
The bad thing:
Turning the finale into a movie is a bad idea since it's going to have a limited audiences of ONLY those who consistently watched the series. I mean they did that with X-Files as well, but seriously X-Files was a more popular show and mucxh more integrated into the pop-culture than Lost is right now.

A movie? Hmm.. It wouldn't have the same feel as the TV show, but it would be great with like a $40 million budget since most of the episodes cost between $2-3 million.

I don't think I'll be on board supporting this.
While I would of course see it if it ever came out I don't think it's the way to go.
Aside from the fact that this is just a mere rumor.... I don't think LOST will only last 2 seasons.
In the DVD extras they said that initially they had a big picture or idea of what LOST would be for 4-5 years. Granted, of course, they gave themselves alot of leeway to change things as they go.... there is no way this will end at season 2. All hints and clues the writers and prodicers are dropping for Season 2 concretely suggest there will be a Season 3. And even so, I highly doubt the show will conclude its television run before the 4th or 5th year is over.
This isn't like ALIAS. And frankly, some people might find this difficult to agree with, it seems to be more thought out and planned than The X-Files.
Sure, the X-Files was a ciltural phemomenon but don't understimate the status of LOST in pop culture right now. If Season 2 builds on the first year's success then it could very well be among the biggest sci-fi cult hits of all time.
If it has the same production value as the show and a really min-blowing ending... then I could see it doing Fight for the Future numbers.

Lost ending at Season 3? Don't make me giggle.
And, I think the Lost DVD is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a while. It brought a tear to my eye. But, that might be because I took a big sniff of the DVD, and it had that New DVD Smell, and I coughed a bit.

I was just rewatching the finale and thought of some stuff. First, in Hurley's pre-airport flashback he runs past Charlie and Arzt, but is the last one on the plane. What happened?
Plus, I noticed a whole group of old people getting on the plane when Locke was trying to get on. Does the island have something against old people, because I don't think there's a single person on the island with grey hair. I think Locke may be the oldest *living* guy on the island.

Maybe I'm wrong, but aren't the odds pretty strong that the more fit people that could bring themselves to wake up and escape from the burning wreckage in time would be more likely to make it then the old and feeble?

The whole crash puzzles me anyway. First of all, how come no one was severly injured, except for that guy guarding Kate? Even Sayid mentioned that it can't be a coincidence.
Moreover, how could possibly the other people have survived, in the tail of the plane?

Don't tell me you're actually asking these questions!
The big thing we're supposed to learn in Season 2 is why they crashed and maybe that will give us answers to why some people ended up living and others dying. And if they don't clearly adress the fact that most of them crashed and survived unscathed... it's a freakin sci-fi TV show

I ahve a very important question about the LOST DVD!
to those who have baught it...
When you flip it over once there is that slit on the very left part of the set. Is there like some sort of booklet there? Mine's didn't come with anything... just a bunch of offers for other DVD's. IF anyone else's came with a LOST guide or booklet, please let me know. Hopefully they'll take it back.

Nothing too important, just the episode guide.

True, but it's still a part of the DVD. You're supposed to get everything you paid for, and he did not.
Don't worry, Raffiki. Here's a link for help. Apparently some didn't get a booklet, either.

Me too, Raffiki. I need everything for the sake of having it, but there's also that first point I made. You paid whatever price for the DVD, and you expect everything you're entitled to. Otherwise, you didn't get everything you paid for!
And, you're welcome! Glad to hear it.

What character's background will be explored in the season premiere? (highlight to read)
Sounds like it's going to be the 20th Jack episode. I understand it's the season premiere, but there are SO many Jack episodes in Season 1. Everyone else had two episodes, or just one (excluding the finale).
And which character's background will be explored in episodes 3, 4 and 5? (highlight)
Episode 3: Locke Episode 4: Hurley Episode 5: Jin

Here's a question for you, guys.
What characters (introduced in Season 1) do you think will not survive the series by the end of it?
I am going with Sawyer, Locke and Michael. Maybe Charlie as well.

Those final episodes are going to be amazing because it will show what happened to the passengers' families and their search for the plane. Plus, I wonder if they will ever actually get back to the mainland.
Walt seems like a big choice to die this season. I'm not so sure on the female they've been talking about dying. Probably one of the 3 new females being introduced.

Locke and Charlie. For one thing I think that after a couple years, the hobbit will want off of the weekly grind of a series.
I expect Jack, Sawyer, Sun, Jin, Michael and Walt to make it. Sayid and the blonde girl, it's hard to say.
This is assuming the series ends in 3 or 4 years. If the series becomes some 8 year grind then actors will start wanting out of it to do other things.
