As a build-up, it was a nice episode. For itself a bit lame. What disappointed me the most was the sheer stupidity of Jack. I mean only because Michael says it has to be his way Jack agrees? What's up with that?!

On the other hand Sawyer has had pretty good moments and the ending was interesting to say the least.

I think it was obviously Jack knew that Michael was a little bit gone but he just didn't really want to oppose him or gang up on him because of what he might suddenly do. Jack obviously felt that Michael was not in the most stable state and that disagreeing with him might cause a little more harm.

I agree Sawyer is great. I don't think he has been dumbed down at all this season nor has he been too much out of the ordinary. Quite the contrary, he's been one of the best transitions of a character from season 1 to season 2. Just about everything he's done this season is justifiable and believable to his character (the largest, and maybe only, hole being sleeping with Ana and not checking for his gun after).

14 something million viewers for Lost.

huh? That's like impossible!!

That would be a 2 million drop from last week (actuals = 16.35m)

Quite the contrary. Considering how off track the show has become, I'm surprised more fans haven't lost Lost.

But agreeing with Michael to just go on a mission taking a fat guy with them, but not a trained Iraqi soldier..now wouldn't that cause harm eventually?

Honestly, the more or less smartest characters on there currently are Sayid, Sawyer and Eko. Especially Eko. The story he was telling to Michael about that boy and his dog was great. Locke sadly got dumber and dumber...

I don't find Eko to be very smart at all. Apparently, the way he decides what to do everyday is based on what dreams he had the night before. He has been building that church for like 10 episodes now and all of the sudden he is done because he had a dream? He is highly unreliable, and if he does know that michael was somehow involved in the deaths of ana lucia and Libby but isn't saying anything then he really doesn't care about anyone on that island.

i'm continually getting smacked around for dissing lost again and again.

but take this into account. this is why i'm developing issues with Lost.

I wanted Ana Lucia dead cause i hate her. but they took her out and libby. coincidence that both DUIs got taken out?

Michael provides stupid justifications for why only 5 people have to go. Why? Because thats the only way it will work. Why Michael? Why would it work that way? Because the smaller the group, the less chance of being detected? Then why the fuck are you taking Hurley. Hes like ... 10 people in 1 and obviously no good with guns or even movement.

Jack's reaction to Michael. Its his decision? I loved how Sawyer gave him the WTF look. Because thats what I gave too. And leading from there:

If i remember correctly, there are 40 or so people on this island. whatever happened to their decisions?? i'm sorry but you going out to pick a fight with the others impacts the entire group. They dont even voice their opinions on anything? Do they just walk around the island as background all the time? attacking the others will fuck them all up yet they dont care.

Eko. sigh. Eko's justifications for things are just stupid. stupid stupid.

then you got claire. so the guy went and got vaccines for her. very good gesture. but just a week or so ago, he almost drowned your kid.

no one speaks to each other. here they are, lost for less than 2 months and no one shares any information nor do they want to hear it. john and eko discover a hatch. no one says a thing. claire and kate discover the hatch and the fake beard. no one says a thing. there is a some freaky ass smoke haunting the jungle yet neither eko or charlie have mentioned it to anyone. but news like Sun being pregnant spreads like wildfire. i'm sorry. i was watching lost, not the national inquirer.

To me, all episodes of lost this season feel like fillers. you thin kthey progress the story but they barely are. they throw new questions but never build upon them. its like starting new short stories but never getting past the 3rd page of writing them.

why do i continue watching lost? because season 1 was fing brilliant even with all the problems. and the story is a continuation and as bad as it might get, i just need to know what happened. Plus Sayid is still the only person in his right senses so far.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.

I will watch the finale and gripe as needed. If anyone has a problem with it, I'll delete their account.

what would make a great finale is if the rest of the castaways beat the crap out of the current cast for acting like dicks all the time

Don't forget that Charlie has no idea that Claire was given that vaccine in the medical hatch; it was a huge coincidence that the baby happened to need it. Charlie doesn't even know what the hell the vaccine actually is. Seriously, if you found a clear liquid in an unlabeled bottle, would you inject it into a month-old baby?

Maybe Charlie's still trying to kill Aaron.

with all the problems this show already has, i'll give charlie the benefit of the doubt and let him get away with this one : ) after all, he is a dopey who would do such things ...

I saw Dominic Monahaghn or however you spell it on Craig Ferguson and he said that [spoil]Charlie survives the finale. Of course he could be bluffing but he seemed to be serious.[/spoil]

I see no reason for Charlie not to. I think Michael and Sayid are the two that have the best chance of death.

Yeah Michael and Sayid seem most likely. I'm thinking maybe Michael will kill Sayid because he wants to come along and someone will see this and kill Michael.

I doubt that Michael would be able to kill Sayid. Sayid's got a gun now (Sawyer gave him one), he's already suspicious of Michael, and he's a soldier. It's unlikely that Michael would be able to overpower Sayid and kill him. I think maybe Michael tries to kill Sayid and Sayid kills him. That seems most likely to me.

Of course, I'm just saying this because I don't want Sayid to die. He's the one with the most brains on the island. ;)

What I actually think is that a few people get badly injured, but we don't know who lives and who dies until next season.

I just realized how absent Sayid has been from this season. Could that have also factored in to the dip?

I know back in season 1 there was this huge poll taken somewhere about your favorite Lost character and Sayid took first. I never understood why because Sayid was among my least favorite characters back then. He's actually one of my favorites now (coincidentally, he hasn't been in it alot  ) but I hope they start to develop his character beyond far beyond Shannon next year. Doesn't it seem like Shannon was killed like 2 season ago?

Hmmmm. MY cousin, who almost never really comments people on myspace, just posted a comment on my page saying the following: (it's a little out there, but just in case, I'll call it a possible spoiler)

[spoil]"So.. I heard that show you like, Lost, is gonna end with them being saved from the island. (just a rumor)
Does that mean the name will change from "Lost" to "Found" and will they show the characters trying to survive in the real world world?

Just a thought."[/spoil]

I would normally disregard it but the fact that she even commented anything is so out of the blue. She's obviously also cracking a joke or two while she's at it but is it possible that

[spoil]maybe some of them actually might get saved?[/spoil]
