Finally got around to watching the finale and it was FANTASTIC. Easily the best of any broadcast show this season. Grant Gustin is amazing in this role.

Great premiere. Though I don't believe for a second Ronnie is actually dead.

Grant Gustin continues to kill it.

Well since Ronnie is going to be in Legends of Tomorrow... I'd say he's going to be in an alternate dimension.

Robbie Amell isn't a regular on that show though.

The season premiere was good but this last episode was really great. Smiles the entire episode.

Plus, Teddy Sears and Shantel VanSanten are great additions to the cast.

The episode was just good, but that ending was awesome. Can't wait for the next episode.

Not sure anyone should ever try again. The Flash can kind of pull it off.

Another great episode, I like this new Firestorm.

Also the amount of money they spent on the end was well worth it. Fantastic ending.

Just finished season 1 on netflix, so I haven't read through the thread for fear of spoilers.

I've only watched five episodes of Arrow, a few years ago. While I found it a well made shoe, I wasn't interested in spending 40 hours with all the brooding. I've heard it gets better on that regard though, and I'll end up giving it another chance someday. The Flash can be thanked for that.

Because this show is terrific. Every episodes feels like an MCU movie which is exactly the right tone for this character. It's impossible to crack a smile every few minutes at either a breathtaking acion sequence or a well placed pun. The comedy keeps things running so smoothly and only rarely are their filler scenes. The only episode I didn't like was eary on, when Barry loses his powers. That one felt lazy, but its understandable on a network show.

Barry is just a great guy, the exact type you'd want with these type of powers. Yet his poor decision making grounds him, he is usually lost when Wells isn't involved. This frustrated me a lot at first, but now I see as opportunities for Barry to grow. He is too rash and emotional. Going back in time was never a good idea, and him not realizing that until too late cost Eddie his life. Sure Eddie went out like a boss, but the poor guy should have never been in that situation. Barry has to learn how to be a leader going forward, so he can avoid more of these casualties on his own team.

I think the team is what hooked me right from the start, where Arrow lost me. Everyone fills a niche and has chemistry with each other. The show boldly reveals the real enemy very early on, but Wells still sells the mentor role because he legitimately enjoys it. Part of the life he's stolen has seeped into his personality, and I think he wishes he could let hos grudge with The Flash go. His secret identity always gets in the way, just as it does with Flash and Firestorm. There's a tragedy here, and even after all the horrible things he did, he built Team Flash for the world. Cisco always brings the heart and humor, making the exposition and scientific explanations enjoyable to listen to instead of pointlessly patronizing. Caitlyn's normal reservedness balances him out, but also makes the character so much more when she does let down her guard.

I'll write more when I'm caught, but I'm very glad that I'm finally get to br part of the DCTVU.

This Zoom episode was BADASS!

All caught up now. While the show is still great, the quality is down from last year. The best moment so far has been shark man.

Why has nobody even acknowledged that Ronnie could be alive in the alternate dimension? Seems obvious. This is the second time Kaitlyn has unecessarily gave up on him.

I knew Zoom wouldn't be alternate Wells. That would be too obvious. Without having ever read any Flash comic (keep that shit in spoilers boys) I'd say Zoom is either A) Alternate Barry B) Alternate Barry's dad or C) Detective Patty Sexypants. She is the only character on the show without any obvious flaws right now. I don't trust her. And since Barry/Iris have below zero romantic chemistry this year, she doesn't even work as an Eddie replacement.

This season definitely started out a bit slow compared to last year, but it seems like it's really starting to pick up. Zoom is a BADASS and I love the idea that he could be an alternate Barry or even his father.

Also, fucking Gorilla Grodd is coming back next week so it's time to get HYPED.

GRODD was a badass, hope we get some more of him next season, as well as Barry on Earth 2.

Also, they really nail the slow parts with Barry and his dad. So good.

Good first half. Nice setup for Vandal Savage for Legends of Tomorrow.

Eh. I wasn't a big fan of this episode. Too much of a League set-up IMHO. Didn't feel like The Flash episode at all. And too many new characters. Especially if you (like me) don't watch Arrow.

Berlanti said they wanted to make the episode feel like an Arrow episode and tonight to feel like a Flash episode.
