What a surprise.

Where's loyal? What did he think of it?

But, but... they're not off the island yet. I doubt they ever will leave the island in 'real time'.

But, whatever, I'm tired of defending the show. Either you like it or you don't.

I'm guessing it's possible that the reason why at the end of the episode that the two groups of Survivors were still seperated is because the group back at the island might end up being left behind and for whatever reason this supposed rescue team couldnt find the island again after rescuing the first group and it's the reason why Jack becomes depressed and suicidal ( which makes sense if next season does end up having flashbacks and flashfowards ). It's also possible that the future we saw can be corrected and isnt set in stone. I dont know, it's pisisng me off that we gotta wait 8-9 months.

Who do you think will they kill off next of the original cast (if anyone)?

My vote would go to Sayid, since he doesn't have much of a purpose left and his character has been underused anyway.

At the very end of the series, I also see Sawyer or Jack dying (more likely Sawyer).

The only ones I am sure will survive the series are Claire, Kate and Hurley.

Locke is probably the one in the casket, so him... He'll have no purpose when he leaves the island.

Desmond will live for sure.

Been making my way through the rest of season three this week.

Really good. The most consistent the show's been, as far as I can remember.

One episode left, then the finale.

Locke will survive till the very end of the show. If he hasn't died yet, with all that's happened to him, he won't. One of Jack and Sawyer will die, but not both, as Kate has to end up with someone. My bet is that Jack will go, but not until the very end. Sayid will probably die, but not before he's found something out about his long-lost love. Desmond + Penny will live. Sun + Jin will live. Hurley + Claire will live. Ben will die. Juliet might.

I think Claire will be the next main cast member to die as they will have a hard time coming up with storylines for her once they use up her grief arc. If she dies, her baby will be adopted by Sun and Jin after they lose/terminate/whatever their own.

By the end of the series.

Live:
Jack
Sawyer
Desmond
Kate
Hurley
Sayid
Jin
Sun
Alex

Die:
Ben
Juliet
Locke
Claire
Rousseau

I don't think Locke is in the casket. I say by the end of the series, he'll try to redeem himself with everyone. For whatever reason. I just don't see him being that hated that no one goes to his funeral. But that's just me. Something will happen with him. Plus, he and Ben are almost the obvious choices. And I would hope the writers wouldn't go with the obvious choice.

Maybe Jack is in the casket. Maybe there are two Jacks, due to some time twist thing. *cue dramatic twist music*

Got through the finale today. Don't know if I'd say it topped last season's finale, but it's up there. Disregarding the first six episodes (which I don't think are all that bad, they're just rather average), I think this season was the most focused of the show's run as of yet, and the only one that I'd call truly consistent.

I heard something about flash-forwards after the finale aired from everybody who watched it, so that didn't surprise me.

I think it's a risky move they're taking, but it is, of course, the most interesting turn the show has taken. I'd never even entertained the idea of them leaving the island before the last scene of the last episode.

Seems like a lot of people are predicting time travel factoring into future seasons (as introduced by Desmond), and I think that's where it might end up. Which is fine with me, as long as it fits within the realm of Lost reality.

The show is in the right place now, though, in terms of plot. And with the addition of Ben and Juliet (and ridding of filler like Eko), and Kate, Jack, and Locke as interesting as ever, it's definitely not lacking in good characters.

8 months or whatever till next season, but the show, quality-wise, is back.

Awww come on. That's SOO far away. I was expecting a November date. Guess they're trying to avoid the Thanksgiving clutter and aim for the Holiday $$.

Anyway... I guess BV is still keeping those weird "Extended Ultra-Amazing Special" subtitles. The cover art isn't too bad. Kind of in line with previous seasons except for the trees in the background (instead of the solid color for past 2 seasons).

I do like how they are really trying to have that strip of all the characters in the center. And what's with that "Jacob loves you" thing? It looks tacky but I wouldn't doubt that it's some sort of clue.

Edit: they all look like they're gonna kill me.

I would say they are making a compromise between holiday sales and positioning Season 3 DVD in a way to promote Season 4 which will return about 2 months after the release.

The Hollywood Reporter has an awesome interview about the end of the show...

Lindelof said "Lost" has to move from asking more questions to answering the questions posed during the series' run.
