Oohh. I actually enjoyed that. However, the problem with this show that I had last time was the whole categories nonsense of boys, girls, over 30 and groups. It's just ugh to me and then last season he cuts singers that were clearly better than other girls that Simon picked. Bleh. Unfortunately that's how XFactor does it's show and all the dancer productions is a bit over the top for me to. I enjoy the auditioning process but still like the way American Idol handles the contestants after that.

besides Britney, the production on this show is shit.

Yeah so tonight was really good. Britney is a great add though I would like to see Demi do more than "Aww you're cute!" Also, no narrators really helped and the little contradicting sides thing was neat.

It was OK last night, I guess. Sort of boring. I enjoyed Britney, though, for what it's worth. Not enough to watch every hour of this season (which I didn't even attempt in season 1 despite the train wreck potential).

I only caught the very end of the last girl. I didn't really sympathize with her bullying story, from what I read afterwards..does that make me awful? She was bullied for tattling on some boy for doing "something"...? And that's grounds for 10 mins of primetime tears?

This is why we need Kanye as a judge. HAANH???

I want Katy Perry. I don't like her, but she was a great guest judge on AI. Her "This isn't Hallmark channel." remark is exactly what's wrong with all these talent shows. They just want a sad sob story behind every contestant and I really do believe they make up 90% of the stuff or over-exaggerate it.

Just as good of an episode tonight though Britney creep was extra uncomfortable.

Highlight: 13-year old girl who sang Feeling Good

Lowlight: Creepy Britney devotee who stunk up the joint

Demi Lovato is a pretty OK judge too so far.

For all of Britney's shortcomings (I don't see the evidence that she's this mean machine the show is promoting her as), the panel as a whole is really enjoyable. Britney and Demi are infinitely better than Nicole and Paula. I also prefer them over J-Lo, or anyone on The Voice.

The real joy here is Demi. She's not full of awesome criticisms but she's really fun and has a nice rapport with everyone. She doesn't come across as inauthentic like Nicole Scherzinger. And I don't feel like she (or even Britney) is here to promote herself, like J-Lo, Christina, Nicole, probably Mariah.

So I'll admit I was half-wrong about The X Factor. I'm enjoying it so far. I just hope they find a good host. Though they really don't need one for the auditions.
