Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
Ummmm, that has got to be one of the most disappointing and anti-climatic endings/cliff-hangers I have ever seen.
The episode itself was rather great. It was way more centered around the "wedding" and the whole gay issue than I thought, which was quite surprising. Pretty brave of them to go all out gay for a finale.
But, my god, that ending SUCKED balls. If they actually do have another sibling, I will throw up. I mean, are they really that desperate for a storyline? I'm all for the ooey-gooey cheesy drama that is Brothers and Sisters. That's what MAKES Brothers and Sisters Brothers and Sisters, but this is pushing it to another level. I'm quite disappointed and I'm totally hoping they have a big cop-out next season... after all, there really was not anything blatant about William having an affair with that other woman (in the flashbacks). Of course there will be more than meets the eye but maybe it doesn't necessarily have to be a love-child or another mistress. Do we really think they'd go there?
As for Rebecca and Justin... is it just me or did they not commit themselves to that relationship yet? I think it was kind of an odd way for the writers to test the waters with audiences and then decide what to do.
All in all, this felt like a very intimate finale. Well, at least compared to the last one. But even so, there was no big disruption, no Holly (for the most part or in her usual way).

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
It was definitely an interesting finale.
Kevin and Scotty's "wedding" was beautiful. It's so refreshing to see a primetime series treat something like that so frankly and naturally. Just lovely.
The revelation of there being another (a real one this time, I guess) random sibling out there was a bit of a letdown, though. Guess we'll see what they do with it.
I was very happy to see that none of the Walkers blamed Rebecca or were irrationally angry at her. As much as I hated the prospect of a Justin/Rebecca pairing, dare I say their little kiss/moment at the end of the episode was...sweet? A little awkward, to be sure, but it's a fairly daring, interesting prospect for the series.
Great season. Can't wait for September.

LOVED the finale. It was the best episode since the very beginning of the season. Nora is the current best mom on TV, and Kevin and Scotty's ceremony was so sweet.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
I watched the first three episodes of the second season (I'm really addicted and should clearly stop). I didn't like the premiere that much and it was easily the least good episode of the series so far. But not as good as the first season.
The following two episodes were better but not much. It just feels like there's no more sense with these stories. In the first season there was the whole mistress drama, business drama, with the missing money and later with the property, and there was great sibling drama. But everything in these three episodes feels done already.
There were still some good elements, but overall a much weaker start that the season one. Which came as a surprise because the show got progressively better.
I don't like Justin's story at all. It's really bothersome and him coming back from the war and dealing with addiction again? Yawn. Tough there's some nice acting there (I really think he's undervalued here), but I was more than once close to fast forwarding his scenes as they add nothing new to the story at all.
I don't like Kevin's story either. Is he going to be the Samantha of B&S? They should find him a guy that will last a bit longer than the pack of condoms. And as much as I like Scotty how many times can he accidentally come into play after Kevin hits a bump of a some kind with his boyfriends? I really hope he's here to stay. For good. With Kevin. And be done with it. Give them marriage problems, child adoption or whatever.
Sarah has been practically almost invisible compared to the last season. I don't like how they handled Rebbecca's big confession with her.
And Tommy. Oh my. What unnecessary drama with him and his what's-her-name wife (26 episodes later I still don't know her name). KILL her please. Every show benefits from a good murder.
Sally Hawkins is still great, but her scenes aren't as juicy as in the first season.
I'll make a sort pause and hope the show finds it's footing in his (for now really under-par) second season soon.

Sally Hawkins isn't on this show? I'm assuming you mean Sally Field.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
Oh my. What a sophomore slump. Not that the second season wasn't enjoyable. It was, but it was also a shadow of the really great first season. For the most part - the plots were mirrored with different or even the same characters which was boring to watch.
I would've loved if they had some other secret or a mystery where everything revolves around. It worked great in the first season, but the second season went with defocused stories that came together in one way or another. It didn't work all that great here as the writers were clueless for the most part.
It was all about the little scenes and great acting - Sally Field of course being the definitive home run. Calista Flockhart was too Ally McBeal-ish this season. I don't think she will ever be able to run away from that character.
Hopefully the third season is better.
