Ever since "Twenty-One," these game shows are heavily regulated and examined. It's not worth the trouble for CBS to rig it.

Don't forget The Amazing Race is on for 2 hours tonight starting at its usual time. 9.00pm-11.00pm
From the looks of the previews it's going to be a good one.

The editors are editing the show in a way where they're practically trying to *force* me to hate Rob and Amber.
But, you know, I won't do it.
Shut up, Lynn and Alex.

I'm very happy at how well Rob and Amber are doing. I really, really think they may win the entire game.
And I hate Lynn and Alex even more.

Yeah, Libs!! Completely agree!
Lynn and Alex cannot stop yapping about Rob! I think they have an obsession over him. Perhaps they secretly have a crush on him? :???: Either way, they're complete morons.
Too bad for the brothers. That has got to be a horrible experience. I hope the cameraman is okay. I would be incredibly shaky if I were the one brother driving and getting into an accident like that.
Meredith and Gretchen are doing awesome!! Amazing that they caught up fairly well after losing everything, and Gretchen getting injured.
PEACE, Mike

Wow! That might've been the most exciting footrace to the mat I've ever seen on this show.
I actually squealed out loud when Brian and Greg edged Ray and Deana.
Ray's gone, thank goodness. Ugh. Now we just have to get rid of Lynn and Alex, and I'm fine with every other team.

Yes. Shut up, Lynn and Alex indeed.
This 2 hour block did paint Rob and Amber in a more dark light than in the past, but it's a race and I don't begrudge them for not giving Meredith and Gretchen money. They came in last, other teams shouldn't have to feel obliged to help them, after all they are their competition. I still don't like that rule, it never seems to be a hinderance why not just let them keep the money, and this whole taking their possessions thing is almost as bad. It would be funny if they were in a sunny locale and then their next plane takes them to Siberia and all they have is shorts and a tshirt but I don't see that happening.
Regarding Rob and Amber not stopping, its disappointing they didn't at least roll down the window and ask if they were okay, but to get out of the car and just stand with them? That seems a bit much, it's not like they can do anything. I still like them even after Cargate.
The two incidents were scary, I am really surprised Meredith and Gretchen chose the cave option just verbally it seemed like the more difficult of the two and I would have been more inclined to choose 'tribes' even if spelunking seemed the more fun of the two. Gretchen seemed to recover nicely though, I was pleased to see her not dwell on the incident and I'm glad they ended up still in the race. I am also glad Brian and Greg (still can't tell them apart) made it to the next leg even after their rollover. That must have been unnerving and yet they were able to complete that detour and outrace Ray and Deana to the mat! I was cheering as well, because I like Brian and Greg and hate Ray and Deana, so it really was a win-win at the end. It was a great finish, this season has had plenty of those (3 so far).

Ditto. Ray and Deana annoyed me to NO END. Why were they so hostile toward the Grandparents, who I'm currently rooting for, by the way.
And if Lynn and Alex go Next, followed by Ron and Kelly, I'll be one happy camper.

Go Meredith and Gretchen! That shows Ray and Deana, who I despise. Ray more than Deana, but I don't like either of them. "We're not gonna give them money because we wanst to put them out of their misery now." Ugh. And I'm a little disappointed at Rob and Amber for not even stopping to see if they were okay. They had a lead for goodness sakes. Every other team (Besides Ron and Kelly who were in front) stopped or at least checked to see that everyone was alright. Lynn and Alex are really annoying, but I laugh at almost everything they say. Half the time it really stupid, yet funny in a weird way. I hope there's some way Meredith and Gretchen can get ahead.

GI guy kills me. Can you talk about anything else other than being a shitty soldier in Iraq (he was shot down)? I used to drive a H2 (civilian Humvee), big fucking deal.
I'm happy that Ray and Deana went home, they weren't a very good team.
As for Lynnette and Alexandria, I agree that they secretly have a crush on Rob, that's the only explanation. They were old news in episode 1, now they just plain suck.
Producers tried so hard to make Rob and Amber look bad. For the record, I wouldn't have pulled over either. What would that achieve? Didn't help out the girls, they just stood around like drama queens.
It's a fucking race for a million dollars.

That's the 2nd time the brothers were in a footrace to the finish.
Ray: "Critical mistake!" (This is said very quickly)

Nah, Rob is doing a great job of looking bad himself. He was bad in both Survivor's, and he is just as rotten now. Sure, editing is a big part, but the things he said were horrible. And I think editing plays a big role in Ron too. I'm sure that's not all he talks about, but the two things he does say gets put into the episode. But even so, that's a pretty big thing to happen to a person and I would probably talk about it.

You know, this was the first episode that Rob said anything remotely bad about Lynn and Alex. About damn time, after all the shit they pulled.
Rob was right, it is a race. What the hell were they going to do anyway? Brian and Greg were okay, and surely Lynn and Alex were worrying enough for all seven teams. Unless they edited it out, Meredith and Gretchen didn't ask either.
Adios, Ray and Deana, and good riddance. I was laughing my ass off at how much of a hypocrite Ray is. "All you do is bitch, it's depressing!" Yeah, pot and the kettle, Ray.
That was quite the fall that Gretchen took. I actually almost had a tear in my eye, when I heard Meredith. He sounded so scared and helpless when he heard Gretchen fall. They're the underdogs here.
Ron and Kelly will undoubtedly be in the final three, but I hope to god they don't win. The ads for next week were hilarious. "And Kelly sees a new side of Ron." Then they cut to Ron fixing something on the car, and he goes "Shush. Stop telling me stuff!". Ooooh, I'm really scared of him now.
Order of Preference for the Final Six:
6. Lynn and Alex (just quit bitching, and then I might like you two)
5. Ron and Kelly (the war references are quite irritating)
4. Uchenna and Joyce (this is the kind of Survivor players that swoop in for the kill and win it all. Fortunately, this is Amazing Race, so flying under the radar isn't going to help much.)
3. Brian and Greg (I've been going back and forth on these two, but they're likable. If they win, I wouldn't be mad.)
2. Meredith and Gretchen (Nothing to dislike, unless they're too old and lame to be liked. To take the bump, take the penalty, and still get 5th is damn good in my book.)
1. Rob and Amber (I stand by my opinion: Best team ever.)

Although I do fault Rob and Amber for not at least sticking their heads out the window and asking if the brothers were okay, I don't fault them for not actually stopping. Boo hoo, Lynn and Alex.

Ray was annoying, and they were too forgettable. I started out watching aobut half an hour late (i guess they took the fast forward) and I knew there was a team missing, but took me forever to figure out who.
Proves three lettered R names make annoying people even with no O.
STill, that was one of the best episodes in a long time, down to the very last minute. I'm kinda starting to like Brian & Greg (I think that's their names).

"Speaking of The Amazing Race, last night proves my theory that slimy Rob and coattail riding Amber have an unfair advantage due to their notoriety from Survivor. How do you like those two blowing off that car accident?" -Marc Berman, Wednesday Edition of The Programming Insider
I find him so unbearable to read at times. Like his incredibly old intro to his personal opinion (which he shoves down the reader's throat ALL the time), as if it's a coincidence that The Amazing Race was on, that he was reporting the ratings, and that he had a little bit to say about it. And, last night proved his theory? Wow, suddenly he's a genius, because no one else thought Rob and Amber would use it to their advantage? Come on. For one thing, I don't think there is an unfair advantage at all. Any of the teams could rope in a local, who wants to make it on a popular TV show because it's a game and they got a camera with them. Rob and Amber never ask for help because they were on Survivor.
And how do I like those two blowing off that car accident? I likes it, Marc. I likes it a lot. I don't see Marc offering his condolences to the team or the cameraman.
Sorry, I just really dislike Marc Berman sometimes. His "insider" daily report can be found at Mediaweek.com.

Rob could kill the other contestants to make sure he'd come in first place and you guys would still defend him.

It's because he's not as bad as the show is trying to make him look.
People are falling for it.

Including Rod. But that's okay, Rod. You're not alone, trust me. Just to turn it around, Rob could save someone who was hanging off a cliff, than actually give up his second to last spot so they could be in the race still, meaning he'd get eliminated, and you'd still find something bad about him. It's true!!

My biggest problem with some critics of Rob and Amber is that most of them (including Marc Berman) don't like how Rob and Amber are singled out and always recognized for being on Survivor and not being regular players, yet they're always the first to single them out in their commentary, and ONLY Rob and Amber. Marc Berman didn't even mention Brian and Greg's names when he referenced the car accident, or mention Meredith and Gretchen's names for when Gretchen took her fall, he only mentions Rob and Amber, despite his constant tirades on how Rob and Amber shouldn't be singled out and helped for being on Survivor. At least I comment on all the teams, and not just constantly talk about Rob and Amber.
