and I still think Sarah will be the Mother. The writers also are in a great position, first they can make sure the women is well liked before they name her. and it could be another reason why she took this small role, for the bigger role coming up.

That 2 minute date was the cutest thing I have ever seen on tv. This show rocks.

Last night got 10.62 million viewers and a 4.5 in the demo, which is probably the highest the show has seen since the beginning of the first season. Very good news.

It also had the highest ratings for any show on TV last night in adults 18-34.

but expected with all of the promotion and Britney - Can you imagine if with Britney the ratings were bad.

That 2 minute date was so lame...it's one of those cutesy, unrealistic, only in the movies type of things that totally takes you out of the show as a result of being improbable.

Spears was fine and actually more entertaining than Chalke's character.

Best episode of the season so far. That was a lot of fun and lmao to Lily's dancing at the juxebox!

Ha! That was a funny episode.

The montage of Ted, Marshall, Lily, and Robin drunkenly arguing over Barney's bracket on the chalkboard was hysterical.

Also: Hands down, the funniest tag scene they've ever had. Neil Patrick Harris is my god. That was a total Doogie Howser reference, by the way, for those who didn't get it.

I hope any new viewers from last week who watched this week were impressed, because tonight was really HIMYM at its best.

I loved the Bracket scene, probably the funniest episode this season.

It's always a funny episode when Barney is the focus.

I'd go as far as saying tonight's episode was season 3's equivalent of "Slap Bet." That's still my favorite episode of this show, but tonight's came really close.

ok that was the first episode i've ever seen of HIMYM. I always watch Big Bang Theory and since it was on right after I figured I'd give it a shot (i skipped last week because i try and avoid Spears like a plague). Anyways, the show defiantly was not what I was expecting. It was far superior to what I thought it was going to be. I think BBT is better but HIMYM has just found a new fan.

Ya tonights episode was truly fantastic (side note: missed BBT) and it's kinda nice to see Barney get an actualy storyline that will go on a little further.

yes very funny episodes with lots of great one-liners. not sure if I care about the cliffhanger, who was the women and why was she doing it. Think they should have answered it to finish the episode.

lastly, robin really looks different this year, think I like her look last year better.

What's really worth noting is that it got a 4.0 in the demo, which is a nearly 30 percent increase from The Big Bang Theory a half hour earlier.

The Big Bang Theory is consistenly funnier.

Britney Spears might just prove to be the show's Superbowl moment, albeit on a far smaller scale. If the ep last night was as good as everyone's saying, maybe viewers'll hang around and turn the show into a bonafide steady hit as opposed to a constantly on-the-bubble "underperformer".

I think the show is OK as it has some very high highs but then some very low lows. Really hit or miss for me.

I loved the episode last night. This show is getting better and better.
