I really don't like Andrew. I'm not sure if it's the actor or the character, but that moment when he was describing his parents having sex to George was without a doubt the most cringe-worthy moment of the season so far.

It was a little...gross, but I was laughing when Bree made exactly the same noise he described when she ate her cobbler.

I liked her more tonight.

I just really, really didn't like her last episode, where she was like a 4-year-old, trying to manipulate Julie into picking her instead of Edie and generally acting like a selfish cow.

I completely agree! This is the best episode of the season so far, and here's why, to explain earlier points that some of us are just "complaining about getting the same old same old."

This show is great on a watercooler level. People will be talking about the Bree/George dinner scene, the imaginary friend getting hit by a car, and Susan's sudden darkness. Alot of the other episodes didn't offer that.

But the thing I LOVED most about this episode is that they finally threw a wrench into Susan's story. I think Susan as a villain for the first half of this season might be very fun, because before she was running the whole innocent gal next door routine, but what she did in the episode today, was very much needed. And it was even better because she went against her friends in making that decision (Bree), and usually the general feel of the show has been that the gals are a unified team (outside of Edie), most of the time. And Lynette is just getting better and better, if she won for season 1, at this rate she deserves it more for season 2, she's been outstanding in my opinion. Lynette is my #2 right now (after being #5 all of last season), and is very close on the heals of Gabrielle, who's my favorite. Bree needs to get back to her conniving ways, the way she got her son to go to dinner was a bit too easy, with only one talk back, it would have been more interesting to see her give him more trouble. That's one reason why she's going downhill to me at least, they're not putting as much into detail into Bree's dialogue/story. Susan, I think suddenly got alot more interesting. Gabrielle was ok this episode, but it was more of a Lynette/Bree episode anyhow. And George is very fun to have around on the show. Its bad that they sent Andrew off after only one episode of arguing, I think having a 3 episode arc to get the two despising each other would have been quite fun. A much better episode this time around.

Hands down best work of the season so far. I laughed my ass off. Finally, Susan is doing SOMETHING with that relationship with Mike. It was going in circles for ages.

Fanastic Episode. The stories are great much better. I wonder why they didn't show the new neighbors at all.

it's as if this episode was really filmed last season but we're not getting to see it until now.. it is significantly different that the last four episodes and no new neighbors this time around..

Exactly. The quality was ten fold higher!!

I tolerated the Susan-Mike-Zach relationship for the first time, laughed over the Bree-Andrew thing, and loved Lynette's part. Great stuff.

I'm less enthusiastic about Alfre W.'s role in the show- a bit too over the top. I hope they do edgy with it. That's what has always made the show so fun- the edge.

Just started watching last week's episode. Why didn't someone tell me Calista Flockhart replaced Teri Hatcher?

I watched the third episode. So... why the hell was the guy in the basement white in the premiere, and supposedly black now? There's no way it's the same guy. Would they really change it that quickly? They never really said that the black guy that attacked Betty and her son was her husband, so... do they have more than one person down there? Did I just dream that the guy's hand was white in the premiere? And... did ANYONE else comment on this at all?!?!

Other than that, the only storyline that I like is Gabrielle's. She owns the show for me this season. Bree and her mommy-in-law was bland stuff, considering it's recycled from last season (with everyone else's parental figures). Susan needs to be replaced with a twig. At least the twig might be a bit bigger than her. And her daughter should be with Edie and Susan's ex-husband. I like them more than Susan. And Lynette... eh, I like her office role, but everytime she goes back to the damn kids, it drags her down. Really, how much longer can she maintain her work life while taking care of her kids from her office?

And I really don't get Betty and her supposed "husband". Like I said, I really don't get how they could possibly change the guy from white to black, but I also don't see there being two people in the basement, considering they never told us there were two people.

Oh, and I hate George.

Going to watch last night's episode later.

Mr. X,

Last night's episode was SO much better. No annoying mother in law. No creepy black guy in basement. There was actually action

WOW. I loved that episode.

It seriously was up to the high calliber last season more often than not hit.

Susan's story-arc is getting really interesting. Even though you now they're goinna break up over this and get back together, at least his time it will be her fault. The part when she was chasing Zack and he swung whatever he had at her and she ran back screaming was HILLARIOUS!!! and then when she explained to Mike about the ice-cream. Classic Housewices!!

Gabrielle's storyline was all right.... it was juiced up enough given nothing really happened. And when are they gonna show the baby growing?

Bree's story is getting really irritating for a couple of reasons. 1) It's not classic Season 1 Bree anymore 2)I can't stand George getting away with all this stuff, it's like a pet-peeve, I want to jump into the TV and tell Bree everything. I hope they don't drag it the entire season and she finds out like in the last episodes. I don't know why people seem to really dislike Andrew... he seems to be one of the more realistically grounded characters.

Lynette's storyline was very well done. She is fantastic this season. Could she make it 2/2??? Really loved it tonight!

You guys were right. It was the first Season 2 episode that captured the greatness of Season 1. Could it be because Alfre Woodard wasn't around? I'm not ruling it out.

Andrew doing everything his father would have done was so awesome. I was excited when he attacked George, even if it was exactly what George wanted. I hate him so much. Wonder if he'll try to drive Bree's daughter away, too. Maybe he's some crazy serial killer. If he was the villain in a horror movie, I'd believe him as the evil bad guy. And Susan chasing Zach was hilarious.

Another comment from last week's show: why is Harriet Sansom Harris reduced to one scene in four episodes? She needs to be back on the show full-time. She should have had the full-time spot over Alfre Woodard. And I agree with Mav. We need more Edie.

Alot of things I thought about too...
I wondered, as well, if the greatness of the episode was due to no Woodard screen-time. I think, on some level it does because we're really invested in these 4/5 characters and it's really their issues and storylines we care about and laugh at. Woodard, though arguably a great addition, is still quite inferior to the dramedy and everyone kinda knows/assumes after her story is wrapped by season's end, she won't be here anymore.

And I wholeheartedly agree with much-needed Felicia screen-time.

Although Edie should get a couple more minutes of screentime, I don't think they should overdo it. Edie is great because she always teases and if we keep getting alot of it, we might get bored. They can juice her little stints up or make em a wee bit longer, but I hope they're not going to pursue the whole Susan-Carl-Edie thing... Having her as a regular housewife kind of dfets her purpose!

Did no one else see the white hand in the premiere, and a black man attacking Betty in the third episode? Am I dreaming up that white hand?!

Sunday's episode was the only episode so far that hasn't really bored me or annoyed me (except for the Andrew attacking George scene, which was just laughable).

I don't think the show is going downhill. It's just... meh.

It's just like every other show now, for the most part. If this was the first season, it would probably be doing average in the ratings.
