Yeah, I think I posted this in the other thread. You will not find a bigger hypocrite than Bill Clinton right now in politics. Oh wait, yes you can. It's his wife, who continues to attack Barack for supposed plagiarism, meanwhile she has stolen from Barack, Edwards, Jimmy Carter, not given credit to the woman who helped write her book, and on and on.

You know what the ironic thing is. They can't accuse Barack of stealing from Bill because if they show that video of Bill, their entire campaign of "experience" goes right out the window. It'd be hilarious if Barack took this and simply inserted some of Bill's tirades on Barack during this campaign at the end of it. Make it around a minute long and maybe even show Barack in there talking about change and hope. Juxtapose it with Bill, and then show Bill's attacks on inexperience in this campaign at the end of the ad. I think it would single-handedly put a steak in the heart of Hillary's campaign. She's been the one running negative TV ads, and this is the type of nuke that could take out her campaign. Bill is already seen as a hypocrite, but he's kind of regained some of his respect in the party through the years. This would immediately remove any newly built good will he has. Talk about saying one thing and flip-flopping. And she's attacking Barack on something he hasn't even officially flip-flopped on (general election public funding)? You gotta love the irony in that. :funny:

I think it's amusing how similar Bill and Obama are. I know that Obama is often called this big transcendent change, but really he's a lot like 1992 Bill, minus some of the negative things like scandals and nightmare wife.

Yeah. Something tells me that if Bill wasn't married to Hillary, he would have endorsed Obama. :funny:

Hillary stole half of John Edwards ideas at the time. I even told people that and it really pissed me off that she did that.

Yeah, she stole a really specific line of his that mentions Blockbuster. Kinda hard to defend that, but they gotta go negative to make a dent in Obama's momentum so they're doing it.

He's similar in that both are symbols of a demographic change in America. Bill Clinton was the first baby boomer president. Obama could be the first post-baby boomer president. Obama represents a new generation in much the same way Bill did in 1992. In that sense, he was right then about how experience of the old ways is largely irrelevant today. Experience is important, but it's not everything. And the bottom line is that none of the candidates left have executive experience. They are all legislators.

Way to go Hillary. You've got right wing union leaders out there attacking the youth vote? Wonderful. Good thing she's not going to win the nomination since I am pretty sure Barack will do very well here in Texas -- well enough to cancel out her "firewall" of Latinos. She would be completely unelectable with that kind of baggage. She's now alienated two of the biggest demographics in the Democratic Party: blacks and college kids.

Barack Obama represents the idea that we can get rid of this type of attack politics, but the "baby boomer" generation won't go down without a fight. They ENJOY fighting in their own damn party rather than trying to create a strong coalition to fight the OTHER party.
