http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... &cset=true

These douche bags belong in prison. Why hasn't Bush's "We do not torture" gotten nearly the freakin' press that Clinton's "I did not have sex with that woman" got? What a shame and a blight on the world this president truly is.

I don't know if the article mentions this but I recall hearing that the CIA has admitted to water boarding 4 high level terrorists including Khalid sheikh mohammad, however, the CIA says it no longer conducts that technique. The simple truth is that if they've done it once they've done it hundreds of times. Abu Gharib slipped through the cracks and the secret transport of terrorists to foreign countries also slipped through so I'm hardly surprised by any torture revelation.

Regards to clinton, yes he belongs in jail.

Aren't prison conditions often worse then torture? Sexual assault, general violence, gang factions, squirrels, etc.

No, the opposite actually. I'm saying that if the media and the wingnuts can harp on Clinton's lying about sex, then why aren't they harping on Bush's lying about torture - which actually IS a crime that he clearly lied about.

The news that the administration has admitted to waterboarding is not exactly a secret. It's on all the major news sites.

Post Re: White House Admits to Torture
Here's what Lamar Smith, a Republican from TX had to say about torture:

Quote:
In regard to interrogation techniques — and I know you’re going to be asked a lot of questions about that today — I just want to express the personal opinion that I hope the administration will not be defensive about using some admittedly harsh but nonlethal interrogation techniques, even techniques that might lead someone to believe they’re being drowned even if they’re not.

My guess is that 99 percent of the American people, if asked whether they would endorse such interrogation techniques to be conducted on a known terrorist with the expectation that information that might be derived from such interrogation would save the lives of thousands of Americans, that 99 percent of the American people would support such interrogation techniques.

His guess? Gosh, if only here were some way to find out just what the American people felt about the use of torture so that Smith doesn't have to pull numbers out of his ass to justify the use of war crimes.

These people are truly vile and despicable scum.
