Yes, I don't live in the US but I am locked in to this cycle as I feel this is the most important election of my life even as someone who isn't, and may end up being the most important for the rest of my life. If the US turns socialist the ramifications will be global, and they are seriously toying with it. Not only would it make it much more difficult to ever return to regular life from what 2020 has been, but America is half the reason any country is free in my opinion. Without worrying about answering to the freedom police there would be much less consequences for any country deciding to do away with freedom and democracy.

AOC only getting sixty seconds is stupid. She is their new star and they should be grooming her for leadership rather than acting as if she is the cousin everyone is embarrassed of. If we still have two parties by the end of this election cycle, the Dems need to get serious about making some changes at the top of their ranks.

Re: Democratic Primary: Biden/Harris 2020
Last night was probably the best night so far. For everyone except Trump that is, given his caps lock, toddler-like meltdown on Twitter when Hillary and Obama were speaking.
And Steve Bannon, former Trump White House adviser, and three others were arrested this morning for fundraising fraud and money laundering. It's hard to keep track of these "best people" he's hired, but I think we're around 20 (maybe more?) Trump/White House associates who have been indicted now. Trump's mental capacity must be nearing its limit.

Well it is probably a lot easier to commit crimes if you know that the president will just pardon you for them later. See: Roger Stone.

Great speech by Biden last night. The contrast between him and Trump is incredible. Many elections are about choosing between the two sides of the same coin, but this one is more like choosing between a rafflesia or lily of the valley for your garden. Or this, basically:

Trump and all the cronies have been talking for months about how Biden is a demented old fool who can't put two sentences together. So foolish - not only does this rhetoric turn off older people, but it also set expectations for Biden low from the right. Even Fox News was praising his terrific speech last night.

Re: Democratic Primary: Biden/Harris 2020
It was a fine speech, especially compared to Kamala’s which didn’t register in my opinion, but still with the thousand times over debunked “very fine people on both sides”?
Quote:
Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."
Reporter: "George Washington and Robert E. Lee are not the same."
Trump: "George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to take down -- excuse me, are we going to take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him?"
Reporter: "I do love Thomas Jefferson."
Trump: "Okay, good. Are we going to take down the statue? Because he was a major slave owner. Now, are we going to take down his statue?
"So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people -- and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly."
Quote:
Joe Biden:
Remember seeing those neo-Nazis and Klansmen and white supremacists coming out of the fields with lighted torches? Veins bulging? Spewing the same anti-Semitic bile heard across Europe in the ‘30s?
Remember the violent clash that ensued between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it?
Remember what the president said?
There were quote, "very fine people on both sides.”
It was a wake-up call for us as a country.
And for me, a call to action. At that moment, I knew I'd have to run. My father taught us that silence was complicity. And I could not remain silent or complicit.
At the time, I said we were in a battle for the soul of this nation.

That quote continues to say he was referring to the people protesting the statue removal, not the Nazis.

Yes, the press edited out the clarification when the story got reported, so it sounded like he called the nazis and white supremacists the fine people when in fact he went out of his way to denounce them.
Trump defending peaceful protestors who didn't want Robert E Lee's statue being removed is somewhat controversial stance on its own, but not nearly as incendiary as calling nazis very fine people.

“Yeah he said it, but what he meant was...” How many times have we heard that?
Also, if you’re fighting side by side with people flying swatztika flags, making heil Hitler gestures and chanting “the Jews will not replace us” then I don’t really care whether they self-identify as a nazi or not. If the shoes fits, wear it. They were not very fine people. There were nazis and then there were nazis-adjace.

Yeah that's my point. It is a direct quote yet Trump people still say it didn't happen.

I’m talking about the rest of the quote Democrats conveniently cut off to make it look like trump is calling the nazis good.
People who want to believe Trump is a nazi sympathizer don’t care about proof so I don’t know why I keep responding other than self hate.

Democrats praise the “peaceful” BLM protestors who stand side by side complicity supporting the communist uprising tactics of the murderers, assaulters, arsonists, looters, vandals and anti-Semitics.
Wait you say, like most non-blacks, I support BLM but didn’t realize and still refuse to acknowledge that BLM was founded based on anti-Semitic Nation of Islam and anti-Semitic Black Panther principles. Too bad, you’re just as bad as a Nazi sympathizer, because you march alongside the likes of Nick Cannon and other true BLM believers.
Understand Charlottesville better now?

I do not support Cannon or Farikkan, but supporting people that say “jews are savages”, as bad as that is, is not the same as supporting people who followed through on their plan to exterminate the jews. You’re welcome to try some more #TrumpLogic to explain why nazis are fine people though.

The tiki-torch carrying people in the Charlottesville march chanted: "Jews/You will not replace us.", "One nation, one people, end immigration.", "Peace will not divide us.", "Blood and soil."
Don't both-side this. Neo-Nazism needs a resounding, no-but's condemnation. The current president failed miserably to do just that. I hope the people marching will eventually realize these immoral ideas that they chanted could lead to harmful actions.

That wasn’t being chanted when the event started! Maybe Trump is wrong for sympathizing with the confederate statue removal protesters, but that’s clearly who he was referring to in his quote, not the neo nazis, who he condemned.
If not all liberal protesters at the event were violent antifa members, surely we can be nuanced enough to see not everyone at that event was a neo nazi.

Much prefer this to the PBS/infomercial esque DNC convention
Good speech by Don Jr, and Maximo Alvarez’s emotional speech will reach people
The Republicans know they have a once in a lifetime opportunity to turn the tide on black votes this election (well at least get 15%+ which is a start), and they showed they’re going after it with Tim Scott going last along with Kim Klasic after her viral ad, Democrat Vernon Jones, Herschel Walker also having speeches.

The majority of the people marching in Charlottesville that night were carrying torches and chanting slogans inspired by Nazis.
In Black Lives Matter rallies, the majority of the chants were "Black lives matter", "No justice, no peace", "End racism now", "I can't breathe" and "Enough is enough".

Democrat politicians: I will not discourage any rioting because they are Biden supporters and we need their votes. Make sure anyone arrested get released with no bail so they can vote for Biden,

Note that the amount of white supremacists there weren't that huge of a group, especially during the day. They were greatly outnumbered by the counter protestors I believe. It wouldn't take that many people who walked from their houses to the event or whatever to justify Trump pointing out that there was others in the crowd.

I'm trying to avoid hitting people's sensitive spots with BLM, but what's going on in Kenosha tonight appears to be next level, I'll leave it at that
