Buttigieg dropping out is surprising. I think, despite being 30-40 years younger than everyone else, he showed the most maturity in the campaign season. If Bernie loses to Trump then Pete will have a fast track to the 2024 nomination. Maybe people will be able to pronounce his name by then.

Stacey Abrams will be the winner of the general election in 2024 should trump win again.

Klobuchar is dropping out and endorsing Biden. Between her and Pete, that should give Biden a nice boost. I can't imagine Warren staying in much longer. Wild card is Bloomberg.

It was probably going to be close. Sanders should take it now.

This is very big for Biden. This is likely going to result in him sweeping the south by large margins to mitigate the loss in California. But more importantly, this should guarantee Biden comes in above that 15% threshold in California now to prevent Sanders from having too big of a victory on Super Tuesday. Just reaching 15% equates to a 105 delegate swing or so, so anything higher than 15% could make Super Tuesday much closer than expected.

A lot of big names came out today to endorse Biden, too. A two-person race to the convention, just like the last two Democratic Presidential Primaries, seems very likely once again.

Bernie won't be able to get done what he wants to do.

Biden makes me uneasy because I don't think he can last to a 2nd term due to age/health, also a concern for Bernie.

Bloomberg - I refuse to vote for someone who bought their way in if there's any other choice (Trump is not a choice)

Warren won't be in the race much longer, and the country can't afford her policies anyway.

So, with Pete and Amy out, I'm back to Tulsi in the primary. I'll vote for the dem in Nov, whoever it is. If Biden picked a VP I liked, I'd feel much better supporting him.

It’s crazy that South Carolina, a state that will 100% vote Republican in the general election, might have swung the democratic primary back towards Biden. It was a huge victory at the time and has only gotten bigger by the day.

I wonder if the CV will affect super Tuesday. All the old people planning to vote for Bernie might not show up.

???

Bernie's voting block is young. Biden's is much older.

The polls after the drop outs and his SC win look great for Biden.

True. Bernie campaign really needs to appeal to older voters who are the core group of people who vote regularly. Maybe get his young supporters to convince their parents and grandparents to vote for Bernie.

8 years of George W., and electing Trump in the first place. Hard for me to argue with your lack of faith.

1344 pledged delegates at stake, out of a total of 3,979. That's about 34% of all pledged delegates.

I'm so nervous. I really don't want Biden to start running away with it.

I think MSNBC let slip that Biden will be called the winner in Virginia at the top of the hour. If he's called the winner there as soon as polls closed, then Biden will probably be in for a great night. No surprise that he's going to win VA, but a call so early with no results even reported probably suggests a 20+ point win which is incredible.

And remember, Biden has next to no ads running in the Super Tuesday states. He spent $4,000, just $4,000, in California over the weekend.

America Samoa...Neither Biden or Sanders get a single delegate there. Good job Bloomberg and Gabbard. What if those 6 delegates end up keeping someone from 1,991. :funny:

Everything aligned for Biden since winning South Carolina big, and now he looks to sweep the southern states by 25/30 points. Biden winning Virginia by 25/30 points with no television ads and a single campaign office is bonkers. And calling North Carolina as soon as polls close likely means he's going to win there by 20-30 points too!

And since he'll very likely come in above 15% in California, I honestly think Biden is going to come out of Super Tuesday with the delegate lead. Who would have predicted that just four days ago?
