 Still Double Logging In
Hey, ever since we started I have to double log in. I don't mind it too much, but some of the problems I encounter are:
1. I don't know if I've received new pm's. If other people are double logging in, they may not realize if they are being notified of something too.
2. All forums show up as no new posts
3. I double log out sometimes. As in, I log out, and when it redirects me, I'm not logged out, but all my recent posts appear as "new posts." As though there may have been two of me on at the same time, but one was inactive until I logged out the second one?
This happens to me both when I log in using the upper left hand instant, and alos when I chose to log in using the seperate screen.
It does not happen to me, however, if I chose to log in by responding to a post, etc.
Anyone else still getting this?

Sorry Dolce. i have certainly seen this problem though at the moment, I have no idea how to deal with it.
Give eagle and me a little time. We're finishing up some work on the main site. Once that is done, we'll turn our attention to this. Hopefully, we can solve the problem even sooner.

Dolce, there is a way to log in without double logging.
a. go to your Computer References (or Internet Tools, depending on what kind of computer you have). Then delete your caches and your cookies, then once you log in, it works. It works for me.

This happens to me all the time... I don't know if this is just luck, but when i click submit with the mouse instead of pressing enter it seems to work okay.

I don't think it's the same problem you have dolce but I have a related issue of everytime I come here my browser fills in the username and pw but i have to click log in button, it doesn't automatically log me in, even though the auto log in option is checked.
I bet Andaroo is right and it's firefox, but not sure I want to give up firefox for that.

In your case, at least, it's not firefox, its a cookie thing, though I can't tell you how to fix it. I have seen IE produce the exact same behavior you describe with other forum sites, though not this one. I've been able to fix it after about 20 minutes of fooling with the cookie settings/clearing cache/history etc.
