Post Spell-Checker?
Can we get a spell-checker for post-submitting? I don't like broadcasting how poor my grasp of the English language is every time I post. :D

I have a spell checker on my Mozilla, but I'm not sure where it comes from. Greasemonkey I think ...

Any who, if you have Mozilla, you can get a spell checker not only for this site, but for EVERYTHING. It simply puts a little red line under words you mis-spell, and then right clicking will bring up corrected spelling options.

I couldn't live without it.

W(h)ines. But I don't use Mozilla. Why can't the forum features evolve around me? Is that really asking so much? :funny:

It's just that it's a pretty big change to add to the forum, where it's a very simple change for a browser. I think IE has something similar, anyone know?

I too have one via Firefox. You could also run your posts through:

http://www.spellcheck.net

I love that website.

That's ok if its hard. I was just checkin' in case it wasn't. Its probably better for me this way, anyways. I'm forced to actually look up words I want to use, so in the future I might actually know how to spell them! :D

Although, since Mozilla and Firefox have spell-checkers I went and googled some keywords to see if Internet Explorer did. I couldn't find anything that wasn't a third-party type download from suspicious looking sites. I hate downloads. I feel my computer getting more diseased with each one.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here knows if there is a browser setting/option for spell-checking in IE the way there is for other browsers? Anyone know?

:grrr: That's exactly the kind of site that scares the heck out of me! They don't look too professional, and since you can't vouch for it, I probably won't download something from it. But thank-you for offering up the site. If I break down and get too frustrated with my own language abilities, I will probably use this recommendation.

don't go by the look of these things. most sites that offer free open source stuff usually do not have interfaces worth bragging about, most often cause its made by people to solve a problem for other like minded people, not to actually promote themselves. its a very programming way of thinking.

Oh. But isn't there this thing where there can be unknown virusus attached to the back of downloads from sites like these? Not that the hosts of the site put on themselves, but rather random hackers do?
