This is for complaints about how mods/admins act in their roles as mods/admins. Your post was personally attacking me. I will say it straight out that I do not appreciate that, whatever other admins feel.

Discuss whatever problems you have with my actions as a mod. Leave whatever you hate about me personally out of it. Which is what the purpose of this forum is for.

Can I ask what that whole Korrgan is a racist thing was about? I really wish you guys would clear this silliness up here and now. It's not hard to do. You have no idea how hard it was to bury the hatchet and wipe the slate clean with loyal. Until we did, and it's been a lovefest for us ever since. No problem!

Issue 1:
Corpse. You may not like the reasoning but as much as you may disagree with this, the admins/mods on this forum try very very hard NOT to interfere in most things around here. This forum has barely banned/warned people and most threads get locked either cause they are spam or have a threat of a previous behavior that may result in unpleasantness that the mods/admins are aware of or it has already reached that point.

the thread in question you are refering to, correct me if i'm wrong reached al level of heatedness late into the night when most admins are asleep. should the thread been closed or some mroe decisive action taken? Absolutely. there is no denying it. so why wasn't it?

a) We won't always be perfect. we won't always make the right decision at the right time. we are human. we hope that somethings will recify themselves. in that case, we made the wrong choice on the matter
b) it was late. i'm not sure if you noticed but most of the admin/mod staff was not around for what happened.
c) I have this dreaded feeling that julia's role will be brought into this. Julia was a a new appointee. as anyone taking any new role on a site/job/volunteer work or anything, it takes time for a person to know what executive decisions they can/cannot/should/should not/will/will not take. the warning she gave at the end of the day was supported unanimously by everyone yet for someone who was appointed recently, this was not an easy decision to make and her initial uncertaintly on the matter to an extent to me, showed a level of maturity. a decision was taken after using up all the remaining options that existed considering the situation at that moment. the thread was not locked ... in hindsight but understandable. not the right decision but quite understandable.

again bottom line. if people have issues with a certain thing, PM or let the admins know. they will take care of it because they are not running around the entire forum with the intentions of policing stuff or reading everything. they are on this forum for pretty much the same reason as everyone else .. .to have a bit of fun or to read more about movies.

b) It is quite understandable why you feel uncomfortable abt PMing admins .. and there is only one thing i can say. from everything i know of the staff here, as far as forum decisions go, as much as you would want to believe us or not, none of us take our personal likes/dislikes into account when making a decision, listening to a complaint or a recommendation. i do not expect you to take our word for this but in all honesty, this is the truth, as far as we can see or tell. you and me have had numerous personal issues. i do not use them to dictate any of my decisions here. there are certain members of the admin/mod team you have never had a confrontation with. if you do not feel comfortable with myself or someone else, i can't see why you can't speak with them.

b) adopting a certain attitude based upon your feeling

i do not know why you haven't voiced your issues as yet. howeever, at least this post lets me know that you do have issues and neither me or the person in question who is being talked about would have any issues in the manner that you have addressed them in. there is a certain level of respect that you give to people in the way you have posted instead of implying "you got the job cause you sort of provide services to the admins by playing halo with them" or "calling her a jew just to entice her". there is a major difference between how you stated your problems and how others did. hell, i'm even okay with how michael presented his problems as much as i didn't like it.

This is not the place to discuss a person problem between two members that has nothing to do with how the site is run. And you are, because I've discussed the matter with you and you seemed to fully understand it just a couple days go. So there was no reason to ask a question that you already have the answer to.

i have no issues with friends calling each other niggers, honkies, pakies, newfies or anything. there is an issue if its done to spite someone. as korrgan said it was said twice to her which jujubee did not appreciate at which point it was explicitly stopped.

however, while jujubee nor i really cared much for it, one of us personally received a PM about korrgan's signature that, while there is no official proof that it was meant to be an attack on jujubee again, seemed to imply another attack on jujubee and the whole jew thing. i do not remember the entire content of this but it was something along the lines of J to the b to the w to the something. however, no one ever did anything concerning it. it remained a non issue other than the fact that it was noticed.

really, jujubee has not brought this up in a bit at all, hence probably why she is mentioning lets not start the drama on it. the last few times, the jewish attack on her has been brought up by other people all together repeatedly and the past is the past .... i think we can all agree that something, as korrgan said has never been brought up before should just remain buried in the past.

The sig thingy had nothing to do with her being Jewish. I quit all that when she asked me to. It was calling her jujubeetch, not jewjewbee. Yes, it was mean of me.

the decision was made by jujubee. we expect her to make decisions like this. we do not always expect her (or even ourselves to be right) but we expect her to. we also expect her to consult everyone if she is not sure (this goes for the admins and other mods as well)

as eagle has stated, and so have i now, we both feel what she did was perfectly justified.
