Interesting. Can't say it seemed like a banning offence to me but I guess Goldie's past behaviour was a factor as well.

I figured the best way to get by it is just to ignore any thread he's in.

When I personally lifted the perma ban Krem had put on Goldie, we had worked out rules that he would have to follow. The rules were accepted by him when he came back, and they were much more stringent than the rules that most members must follow.
His offense was not grave, but it violated his rules. The agreement we had made had nothing included about second chances as he has seen many. I wanted Goldie as part of the forum, but not if he can not prove to me he can follow the rules laid down.
