Post New Mod for the Literature Section
This can be someone that is already a mod or someone who is not.

Me, Baba, and S.S will mod the forum until I find someone suitable.

In this thread please do one of two things:

A) Nominate someone with a reason why they would be a good mod for this section

or

B) Nominate yourself with a reason why you would be a good mod for this section.

There is no timeframe for when the mod will be named.

KJ

We ALL know what happened the last time I was mod, but that is in the past, and it won't happen again. I assure you. BUT, I won't be disappointed at all if someone comes out and says "Mr. X, you will not even be considered."

Now, why would I like to be mod for Literature? I mean, I did state that I did not want to mod again, but I have a deep love for Literature. Even more than Television. I want to be a writer, I love to read, and I have a LOT of work to donate to this forum, if those who read are willing to whole-heartedly critique my work, and don't criticize for the sake of criticizing me.

So... yeah. If someone else better is qualified, let 'em have it! I'm just throwing my name into the mix. :)

I will not be a good mod in that section because, well, I don't like reading.

I don't think there's a better reason in the world to not mod there. No wait... it IS the best reason, because you can pretend to know what to do, when you're really just coasting through.

I think it's a bad move to even have literature forum.

First, it'll take more out of Water Cooler, then now yet another subforum as we had on BOM.

Plus, think it will be pretty non-busy. Now there are threads, but that's more because it's a new forum. And threads are really meh...favorite this, favorite that.

Close down several sub-forums and start incorporating them into other major forums.

Don't worry.

This is just a test run for the Literature section. It wont take anything away from The Water Cooler.

If it does then it will go away.

As for right now, lets just see how it goes.

bABA, did Eagle speak with you about my forum suggestions? I think we should post them here for member commentary and input.

-Dolce

*edit* Perhaps we can make the lit section into an Lit/Arts/Theatre section so that we can incorporate more obscure stuff like exhibition openings and theatre shows into it? They wouldn't have much attention on their own, and would get drowned in water cooler (remember the art thread Dkmuto starte dup at BOM? Exactly). We can put those in lit to open it up a bit more?

Also, we can discuss various painters/artists like babas thread in water cooler.

well

I'd rather keep it like that unofficially. Remember, he more we add, the less important the watercooler itself becomes and the less popular the threads become. A select crowd enters these sections and a great thread in these sections goes unnoticed by a lot of people then.

I don't think we really need a mod unless the forum expands. Right now, it's just a little place that prob. won't be subject to much spamming.

I would like to nominate rusty. He can't read or write, and has never read a book in his life, but I say it's time to show that the world of KJ is a diverse culture that empowers people with "special needs". Sure, the WoKJ took a big step forward in that direction when bABA was made an admin, but I think we could always do more.

I say don't let rusty's alcoholism, criminal record, apathy toward literature, and lack of any comprehension of the English language stand in his way of becoming a literature mod. He knows how to smack down a hippie, and that's all that's really important when you look at the bigger picture, isn't it?
