This is a previous warning Algren recieved (he has 3 total).




Algren, you have a history of abusive language. Today I was notified that once again, you violated the rules regarding swearing, rules which I have made you aware of through personal PM's multiple times. You have been warned three times, each time for abusive language and fighting with other members.

As discussed in the "Goldie vs WoKJ" thread, things like this are creating an extremely negative atmosphere here, and atmosphere that is not condusive to the type of posting that we are trying to create.

Posts like these will not be tolerated, and seeing as you have a long history, and have been unable to control yourself, as much as it pains me to do it, you will be banned for 7 days.

Your account will be re-activated Tuesday August 9th around 7pm.

It is my hope that you return to the forum and continue posting as I value you as a member a great deal. The rules are however the rules, and I do not think we ask to much, when/if you return, I hope you will abide by them.

I will leave this thread open in case anyone would like to question the ruling. Please do not use this as a place to bash Algren or anything of the sort. Only purposeful posts on topic will be allowed to remain.

I can't remember when he said that to me, but I haven't been here much, so I thought he had cooled it. He seemed a little mellower when I did read his posts, but like I said, I haven't seen enough of them to know what he's been saying lately.

He wasn't happy when he recieved his last warning, and stayed away from the forums for a while. When he came back, he was much better, and followed the rules.

Since he has slowly been slipping into insults and abusive language. His most recent post is a clear violation of the rules, and unfourtunatly will not be tollerated.

Hopefully issues like this can be solved in a professional manner and bannings like this can be avoided. I'm sorry to see him go even temporarily. I hope when he returns he is a productive member of our community.

Its nice to finally see action against a non-spammer and stuff, but I dont think 7 days is enough for a lesson.

Isn't there some kinda censor that you guys use with BKB to control his swearing? I always see ****** in his posts. Could you give that a try with Algren to give him a little help in controlling his language?

BKB does that on his own. Swearing is not illegal, just swearing directed at other users, as well as personal attacks.

There are no plans to put word filters into effect, and I don't think it is to much to ask for members to control themselves.

On BOM Algren said the reason why he cussed on there was because he was from another country and didn't know what American cuss words are.

Okay maybe once he could do that, but i think he should have figured it out by now.

Algren exists on filth filled Stallone action movies. He understands, he's only from England, the particular words he used are abrasive in either version of English.

He may be more American than I am.

He's been quite offensive towards people lately. Hopefully he'll lighten up when he comes back.

I've seen Goldie say worse. But Algren can probably be reasoned with and some sense knocked into him so I guess it makes more sense to ban him, he might reform.

Congrats to Archie as this is the 100th time he has mentioned me. Half were informational and half were baiting. Can someone give him a prize.

And Archie, I have seen plenty of others say inappropiate things, very surprised you can't think of any others.

And I do expect more from one of KJ valued panelists. Tisk, Tisk.

Goldie is right. The singleing out of him can not continue.

It is just a bigger part of the problem that I am activly trying, and believe in the end I will fix, or at least better.

Just please, if you have nothing positive to say about someone and/or goldie, don't say anything. I don't believe I have ever seen Goldie make comments like the ones above.

Baiting absolutly has to stop.

I'm not someone who hates Algren, but I think this was a great idea. This has nothing to do with the Garner is a horse comments, because he does it so much, I'm used to it. I couldn't care less about that. But, it seems when he gets backed into a corner, so to speak, he'll let fly stuff like "Go fuck yourself, you piece of shit!" or something along those lines. I don't think knowing what words are curse words or not has anything to do with it. If you say "Have sex with yourself, you piece of poop", it pretty much means the same, with the same intent. It just sounds funnier, that's all. Either way, I think the intent of what he says is what is deserving, not whether or not he knows if he's using curse words.
