It isn't as if I thought you would all like it. I am taking away width. The move is totally selfish on my part (and no I'm not being scarcastic.)
But it had to be done.
Oh goodie. So you're snipping a teenie bit off the sides? Look at how much blue I have on that picture I posted. I think a nice border with that "film" imprint you have on the top is nice.
See what I mean about the lines looking like they are falling off the right hand side of the "post box"? Everything else is aligned, including the other quotes and the title bar.

It's much better now. *nods*
EDIT- It's only for this thread? Anyways, I like it nice and thin like that. I'd have no problem with that everywhere.

That is because of the resolution you run.
If you run 800x600 you won't even see the blue background.
If you run 1024x768 you will only see a sliver of background.
If you run a higher resolution (like me and you) you get alot more blue space. Sorry, thats the breaks of a fixed table forum.
Oh. I missed this post. So, is there anyways to "change" one's resolution? Like to the 1024x768 type? I think I'd like a blue border like that, but right now it feels like the Straights of Gibralter are closing in on my ship!

I have a white bar on left and right. I need more space. Everything is now a bit narrow.
Thx

It's only shocking cause it's new. Oddly enough, for me, the page widens so as to accomodate the blue tape on the left, but it's not a big deal.
I personally like a darker framing, it makes it look more stylish.

Now back to Balzac.

You change your resolution by ricght clicking your background, then selecting properties, and then settings.

It's interesting that the width looks good only when I look at this thread.

She probbaly lowered her resolution, and yes dolce, thats normal.
Higher resolution is much more sexy, but some people's monitors can't use higher resolutions, which is why I have to lock the table at 780.

Thats because dolce's picture is stretching the table somehow, a bug I have to fix.

For the love of God Galia, put your resolution back to what it was!! You do not decrease resolution for any reason

It's because the picture I planted made the thread wider.
bABA, KJ, I changed it back. I think I went to lower resolution, but it was so fuzzy I thought I was losing my sight, plus it felt like I was reading a large print book.

One who is used to smaller resolution (bigger text) doesn't care to increase his resolution for approval of others. One is quite content with the amount of disapproval he currently has.

I can understand you guys wanting forum and main front page to look similar, but it should have been the main site that changed, not the forum. The main site look has been strange for a long time now with this narrowness of usable space and overly fat margins. I run at 1152x864, 19" screen.

I cant complain really, but I really wish I had my real comp right now.
Just for comparision's sake.
Also, I support the merging and incorporation of the main site and forums, but honestly, unless its just this thread (as some are implying) (only thread ive checked so far), I think there's gotta be a better, smoother, sexier way to go about it. Like I said, though, cant really say for sure til i check with my computer, and cannot make any suggestions until then, too. So, yeah, I dunno what to say. :O

With large picture there, page loses good looks it had before.
On 1024x768, seeing just a bit of blue background on left...and nothing on right. Without anything that scrolls it, looks fine to me.

Archie. I understand. Please give Karl and Krem a day or 2 to finish all the updates. All the changes made so far are incomplete. Once we see the complete product, all of us including me and karl will understand how everything looks like.
Thanks
