Yes, though just think about it for a second. What does every single thread turn into that addresses a problem one poster has with another poster? Fights. It just causes arguments among everybody and the final result in this thread will be bABA or Eagle leaving a final message that they have removed his signature and it's now locked. And this thread wouldnt even have been needed if someone just messaged one of them about it in the first place. It's one of those things that can be avoided with ease, yet never is.

If users have an issue they feel needs to be addressed we have no problems with them posting in regards to it in "The Site." That is what this forum is here for, and user input in matters like these is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Fighting is not a wanted side effect, but people don't always have to get along here so long as they remain civil and leave personal attacks out of it.

That's the problem usually. I don't mind someone posting a thread like this here, I just feel it can be entirely avoidable and wouldn't run the chance of an unneeded fight among posters that aren't involved in the original problem. Most of the time warnings and such aren't issued and things just go off the rails, thankfully it was put to a halt this time.

Here's the problem, not everybody is able to take a joke or cyber bullying (which is what this has become) as easily as some others. Some people, like Tony, Mav (in some cases), bABA, can brush off a joke and keep going.

Others don't quite have that ability. While getluv may think he is being funny (and that is very subjective), to someone who is insecure (and I'm not saying this about Joe per se, just in general), the sort of constant, heavy, hostility, name calling etc., can become an issue. Not everybody is always able to say "hey, its just a forum, I'm moving on."

Cyber bullying itself has become a huge debate in recent years, as some people have blamed it for the recent suicides of some individuals. And yet, people, here included, continue on this constant path of doing it.

It is no different than in real life, where sometimes what you say does indeed have an effect on people. You wouldn't constantly tell someone they'd be better off killing themselves, and then expect absolutely no blame if they did do that (and your comments had been overheard by others), would you? No, because what you say does affect people, and that is something everyone, no matter where you are, could learn from.

Sure, some people can take a little joking, or a hostility. I've grown to just laugh/ignore things people say about me (here and elsewhere) so what? Tony does too...Mav doesn't, but somehow I think we all know he is able to discern the separation between forum and real world.

So, in conclusion, how about laying off the hostility to some people. It wouldn't hurt.

I think it has just become more open. There are several that I could put my finger on (I'm sure I could have been even included at one point) who have taken their "hate" for others into the more visible realm (why, I don't know but hey)...

personally i enjoy what i do around here. btw, there is no such thing as "crossing a line". cuz thats very a subjective thing. I only respect people who deserve it. I usually give everyone a chance, then someone like Roid (who i've never had a problem with) comes otu this week and calls me a racist. so im sorry, but that shit is just not on.
