You two are thinking of the forum like a public park. A place to hang out, come and go as you please.
But you should think of the forum as a country club for nerds. There's a registration to become a member, though its complimentary. And there are rules and regulations to follow for your membership in order for it to remain intact.
And most importantly, at any time, your membership can be revoked. KJ definitely acts differently than 9/10 forums on the internet,, yes Part of the reason it's userbase is decreasing, not increasing. And there is no desire to work on it, which is a little sad since it has nowhere to go but down, as far as acticity is concerned. If the bottom two sentences are correct, wouldn't they contradict each other? Follow the rules and you will be ok, but we can ban you whenever we want anyway. Umm? I've behaved better than basically everyone who has been posting in here in regards to the rules, so are you saying that someone who has never been in trouble before on the forum is just as likely to be banned as someone who has received several warnings then? Cuz that's a fucked up policy fueled by personal opinion, being given by someone who doesn't even decide how the forum works anymore. So you words don't seem to even mean anything now.

Oh it's not like it's not fun, it certainly is, Chip. The crazy is what helps make KJ a little different and fun when the same posters aren't discussing the same topic for the tenth time this year.

Hey just to remind you anyone who isn't mentally retarded would really like you to GTFO. It's up to the admins who they ban and how they run the site, of course they have to accept its up to the users to leave if they are not satisfied with the way the site is being run... That said, Corpse, KJ is different from 9/10 forums because on KJ people actually sort of connect with each other, have an understanding of each other, support each other, see each others lives. Theres a sense of community here rather than random GTFO Trolls, and when theres a flamewar its a good un between people who have history, not just people arguing over the symmetry of Jessica Alba's tits. KJ's new life began when BOM exiles arrived, and it is that core group who continue to elevate this site to a better place. Without those people, we are left with a lot of banal users, and some good ones who dont contribute nearly enough. I guess the history is why KJ feels like chilling with OLD FRIENDS.

Corpse's argument is about as legitimate as someone arguing that Joey Fatone was the heart of N'Sync

It's not even an argument, why do you guys always see things as black or white arguments?

It's not even an argument, why do you guys always see things as black or white arguments? i'd rather it shrink and have quality posters than thousands of posters that post ridiculous crap Hard to say what future posts from a growing community would be like since it hasn't happened. Also, when you have just a few "quality posters", arguments and personal issues become much more of the forum discussion than they normally do in a large community, and that results in even more problems since it's more likely for others who are close by default given the size of that community to get involved when they shouldn't. Disagreements on a forum with 50 regulars dominate the forum far too often. But disagreements on a forum with 500 regulars (500 isn't even that big) takes the back seat because not enough care, which they shouldn't about a sall group fighting. Bad example, but, what's more likely to make the news. A killing in New York, or a killing in a small town of 1,000?

The former, but they happen so often and are of such a low percentage population wise, no one stops to stare. Unlike the latter. People move on in the former, but get involved in the latter. No one would even care about Libs vs Korrgan on a forum, say, the size of RT. It'd just be another poster argument, nothing to care about.

I would rather people get involved. It helps solve the situation.
