I liked the one in front of Star Wars better, but this is a good one nevertheless.

I could've swore I saw this in 1996 but instead of Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning I saw Will Smith and Bill Pullman....

That's probably not too far off from the truth except I'm sure Cruise and young Dakota will act far better and more realistic than Will Smith did.. You know what really irks me now that I think of it?? In the movie ID4 when Will Smith pulls the hatch off that Alien ship and punches that thing in the head and says "Welcome to Earth" or something stupid like that.. In reality, that thing would've ripped Will Smith in half plus Will Smith would be in Quarantine for coming in contact with a Dangerous Organism.. Fucking Don't screw this up Spielberg... :mod:

Big deal.
I guarantee that there will be enough differences between the movies.

If you feel that way than great, you can save the admission fee and just watch Independence Day over and over and over and ................................

And how about that the ships could only be destroyed when firing, I don't think they would have gotten all of the ships in time.
And it was lucky that the crazy Randy Quaid had his guns jam before he decided to go on a suicide mission - as his sons were watching.
I could go on but I let these things go as I watched the movie.

Perhaps it did try to rip him apart but he was taken by suprise? Plus, it's Sci-Fi: there is no "in reality" lol. But at least you didn't bitch about "Oh the ships coming into earth would change the temperature and tides wah wah wah!" Quote: Fucking Don't screw this up Spielberg... :mod:
He screwed up on Jurassic Park and Schindler's List (two great books). I highly doubt this will be as good as his (adapted) masterpiece: Jaws.

Amazing trailer. This is what I wanted to see! If they pick up the marketing quickly, this could be huge.

"Star Wars" is a troll. He also hates Spielberg. So just don't listen to him and hopefully he will go away.

I'm a big Steven Spielberg fan, and it looks great that's for sure. But something tells me, that this is gonna be a more character driven 'small-scale' film, then the 'film of the decade' which Spielberg wants it to be.
Hopefully the film is also not that patriottic...

Now that looks freaking amazing. Excellent, excellent trailer. That ranks among the top, in my opinion. You've got all the elements of the perfect "taking over the world" summer blockbuster, including great action, great emotion, and a strong family tie at the core of the film. This is the type of film that appeals to a VERY wide audience, and both males and females very well. With Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, and even Dakotata Fanning attached, you've got an incredibly attractive cast. Then you've got some amazing trailers (one of which was before Star Wars!) and some great hype, plus a great release date, and the perfect film to appeal to many demographics and be rewatchable.
I'm starting to think this film will definately make $300+ million domestically.
PEACE, Mike

Awesome final trailer! =D> Maybe they could have shown just a tad more of the aliens and destruction but it's no big deal, more surprises left for the movie that way.
Fantastic choice of music, the same New Line used for FOTR, this got to be a good omen.

Good trailer. Can't help but get a sense of deja vu for most of the footage though.

Yeah, alot of the footage we've already seen, thats why I didnt care for the trailer much. It's just like a montage of scenes, people running, panicked, and things blowing up, whats new? Anyways i'll be there opening weekend, but trailer wise it looks no better then Day After Tomorrow, but I think Spielberg is great and casting wise with Cruice and Tim Robbins I like.
