That movie's hilarious -- Trinity's 83 minute death scene; the Agent Smith impersonation; the 'inspirational' bits between skinny kid and hardened military guy.

Yes, the most pointless relationship in a blockbuster of the last ten years
Only worst one I can think of is the Black Ship captain and the deck hand in King Kong, and of course Harry Osbourne and his know-it-all in the dark until now Butler

Harrison Ford reportedly interested in returning as Han Solo
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=96758Quote: Less than a week ago, Mark Hamill revealed that George Lucas had informed both he and Carrie Fisher of plans for Star Wars: Episode VII. Today, EW is reporting that Harrison Ford is open to the idea of reprising his role as Han Solo.
Details at this stage are few and the outlet's source regarding Ford is unnamed, but the 70-year old actor is still going strong having recently starred in Cowboys & Aliens and set for upcoming appearances in Ender's Game, 42 and Paranoia. It was also only a few years ago that Ford re-teamed with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and rumors persist that Lucasfilm's famous archaeologist may yet make fifth big screen appearance.
The only solid information on Star Wars: Episode VII at this stage, however, is the plan to see it hit theaters in summer of 2015. As always, check back for details as they become available.

It would be cool to see, though I hope he still plays Solo with macho charisma. As of late, Ford's screen presence is less brooding and cool and more hardcore grumpy.

Ford should do the fans and himself a favor move on. Start this series fresh.

Han Solo was a 30 year-old wise-talking chap, not a 70 year-old trying to reclaim fame. Ford needs to forget about this series and concentrate on fare that is suitable for his age and ability.

Han Solo shot people, He didn't really fight people that much. Besides, they made Christopher Lee look like a Sith Lord despite being 100

Stallone and Arnold are not 70. Plus, they can still do the action. Ford can't. The rules don't apply to Stallone and Arnold either because they have a fanbase that can accept the action guy persona, but Ford's audience sees him, not as an action hero, but as a physical proper actor. Totally different.

Totally different. I see Ford as a great actor, and the best action star of all time. And he did the majority of his Stunts in Crystal Skull and Cowboys and Aliens. He can still deliver without looking ridiculous as Stallone and Schwarzenegger now look as there bodies dwindle, because action is all they have. Ford's been in the same shape for the last 30 years, can branch out into other roles and still fall back into action if need be. And Star Wars is not nearly as demanding in the physical nature as other action franchises. And before you go all crazy, I'm probably the biggest Arnold and Stallone fan out there. That still uses reason anyway.

Re: Harrison Ford reportedly interested in returning as Han
I'm not going to go crazy. Ford is good, but he's not an action star. But that's besides the point, and Ford would look silly in a Star Wars 7 because he's too old. He actually can't branch out into other roles and fall back into action if he needs to, take a look at his grosses recently if you don't believe me. Nobody wants to see Ford anymore unless he's playing Indiana Jones.

Re: Harrison Ford reportedly interested in returning as Han
I never said they were 70 either, but it's a fact that their best action years have been behind them for at least 16 years now. Grosses are not the questions either. SW is going to open to over 175 million with or without Ford, we're talking about capabilities, and I'd put Ford against Stallone or Schwarzenegger against them anytime in their career.
Stallone and Schwarzenegers movies have had some great action in them, and they do some demanding stunts Ford's films have always been well received on the action side because outside of extreme circumstances it's usually him. Especially in the fight scenes.
Film's like True Lies, Cliffhanger, and Eraser are still awesome for me, but it breaks my heart now that I can pick out the stunt doubles rather easily. Don't believe me watch the opening scene of True Lies, that first scene is barely Arnold and he was 46 at the time. Then watch the opening scene of Crystal Skull (There's a behind the scene clip of Ford performing that awesome swing and kick on that huge chain) Ford was 65 at the time.

We might see 2-3 Star Wars movies EVERY YEAR
"Up until now, we were under the impression that we would be getting a new STAR WARS movie every 2-3 years, starting with STAR WARS: EPISODE VII in 2015. Well, according to the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, LucasFilm head Kathleen Kennedy says that Disney is planning for something more like two or three STAR WARS movies every year!
This means that we would could potentially see the Skywalker timeline as the main series (think THE AVENGERS) while also getting extended universe movies that build up to each main film (think THOR, IRON MAN, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY). This means we could see the Zahn trilogy become a reality or we could be talking Knights of the Old Republic. 2-3 movies a year means we could see all of those dream directors helming their own bit of the series. We could get darker, adult STAR WARS, animated ones for the kids, the mind boggles at the possibilities!"http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/disney- ... every-year__________________________________________________________________________ No words...

They said this during the initial announcement, no? It's not just Episodes VII-IX, it's a bunch of spin-offs and the like.
