Eh.
It was rumored months ago but now that it's finally confirmed I'm a little underwhelmed. I don't think Streep with have the vocal chops for the role, especially if they do live singing, which they would be crazy not to after the success of Les Miserables. She's also too old.
I'm excited. It's a great show (but again, not something for people who like everything sung through, though I could see them changing this so they can sell it to a family audience) and it should make a great movie.
