in badass mode - picard overall - kirk
kirk was too cool to get angry and most times had the situation under control so he never had to be a badass.
and Picard only got angry when he didn't like Q spooning him as they woke up in bed together.
That Q, what a card.

Just recently rewatched Star Trek Generations. Sorry but Picard is a wuss, Kirk is da man!
Nah, Picard isn't half bad either.

Picard is so cute when he sings and dances
also there is a PIcard vs Kirk on the above list.
Ok here is a manly Picard singing > Picard and Others: I will survive! [youtube1]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD9iMvZXmfY&feature=PlayList&p=2BDE59FA998B6CC5&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=7[/youtube1]
Kirk anyday of the week over Picard, but Picard was simply Ok.. Kirk was the daring type who defied Starship orders, stole a starpship to save his friend and make sacrifices like he did bringing Spock back in TREK III and would rather kill the enemy than reason with him while Picard would talk the enemys ear off..

Yup. Kirk is old school and people should either watch part of the old tv or w o khan.

Yeah, but your not going to be able to get a teen in this day and age to watch an old 60's show like Star Trek and maintain attention of it for 1 hour without nodding off.. It's merely dated by today's standards. but does give 1 the impression that Kirk was simply no nonsense and didn't pout up with any enemy's bullshit..

Re: James T. Kirk vs. Jean-Luc Picard
Kirk was all brawn and humor, Picard was smart and classy. I think the captain was defined by their crew. The Next Generation was just such a much better show than the original show. They were both great captains in my opinion. Makes me weep for the other shows. Though new Kirk is still Kirk through and through.

I'd feel more secure with Picard as my captain! Plus he's a better actor.
