Hopefully things will change drastically when Eisner leaves. He is driving the company into the ground.

[quote]Cook added that feature animation planned to produce one major film each year, for release around summer or winter holidays. "Toy Story 3 would not be the main Disney animated feature for 2008," he said.
One film a year? The animation may look good, but all the money and computers in the world won't buy a good script. Are we looking at the 3-D equivalent of Hercules and Brother Bear?
This is Disney's way of destroying Pixar out of revenge. Disney's sequels will make loads of money off of Pixar's hard-earned franchise cred, but the movies themselves will be substandard. The general public will blame the bad WOM on Pixar, and the next Pixar movies will suffer.
I hope the general public will understand the difference between Disney and Pixar. Somebody mentioned that people in the theatre cheer the Pixar Lamp and not the Disney castle (YAY!). And don't forget that Shark Tale didn't do so well.

I doubt it will destroy Pixar's creditibility, Disney has been crap sequels to their moveis for along time...The Lion King 2, The Little Mermaid 2, Lady adn Tramp 2, the 4 horrid Aladdin sequels...none of them were nay good, but people still enjoy the orginals.
Pixar will continue to make good films and Disney will cotinue to make crap unless they make real smart changes, which is unlikely.
