To BKB from below - "BLACK CHRISTMAS" and it was made I believe in 1974 long before the HALLOWEEN movies came out and it started the whole: "The Caller is calling from inside the House" type of fear and not only was this creepy as hell.
I think also there have been other caller / phone movies.
- There was a famous one with Barbara Stanwick. I forget the name and the year - probably in the 50's.
- And there was Wait Until Dark with Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin - think about '68.
- Demon Seed - probably around '74 with the computer calling
and some others.

Todays generation might not think much of it compared to todays' horror movies, but this 1 ranks right at the top for me more than anything I can think of and let me tell ya: It's hard for any horror film to scare me, but goddamn if this one didn't make me think an awful lot about it.. I highly recommend renting this if you find it..  Black Christmas is one of the best horror films of all time. Scary as hell, too. Good pick, BKB.

Saw is the best horror film ever.
Close contenders are Scream, Dog Soldiers and Evil Dead 2. Whether or not they are classed as horror, i dont care. :wink:
