Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
The reviews have been great best of the year for a live action big budget film.

Still they are impressive considering the pressure for this film to deliver.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
That average rating does seem a bit low for the % positive overall. Seems like it might not completely satisfy everyone. Many reviews call it a bit of a retread of what we've seen before. But it should have amazing WOM for the most part.

If Ingruber is one of the 4~ that aren't listed, just kill me now.

Ingruber or Jenner would be my pick.

I think Blake Jenner is going to be the choice. I've heard from several of my sources.

Jack O'Connell is a great actor but sounds completely wrong for Han Solo.
Hope it's Taron Egerton.

I guess Alden Ehrenreich is the frontrunner?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
What are some ideas of where the Han Solo film will take place and who would be in it since this is a much younger Han Solo?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
I guess Disney is very worried about Rogue One. They're doing extensive re-shoots.

That is not encouraging.
Still, I have faith in Edwards.

Not being able to do better than Josh Trank and Gareth Edwards for Star Wars films seems weird to me

GODZILLA is so much better than people give it credit for. Nobody could have made a better film with that script.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
The direction wasn't Godzilla's issue. The issue was the boring story and characters. I'm sure Edwards could direct a great film if those elements were great.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
So now that the dust has settled, we can all agree this was kind of mediocre (sorry but a tribute to a 1977 film with a Mary Sue lead is not a great story) and Revenge of the Sith remains the best post-original trilogy Star Wars film.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
That's a stupid post
I agree that I find it funny most found the death planet film the worst part that they chose the first ever spinoff film to be a Death Star centric film. On fan fiction it's a wet dream, for film people, it's just eh. There was so much they could have done. If Vadar's reign is the pull of the reshoots then I'm game, it's making the best of it.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
Even though it was total fan wank, and I'm not a fan (though I can be a wank), I dug the film. It was enjoyable and light.
