I started watching Turbo the other day. It's a pretty generic film.

Not rotten tomatoes but I think 78 for Zootopia is a little low. Deserves the mid 80's.

I'd say it's a 60-70 movie.

It has an 8.1 average score on RT. Don't they usually correlate? It seemed to me that Zootopia was nearly as well received as Inside Out

No. They don't correlate. You have 85-100 movies with under 7.0 average score. RT sucks. How many times do we have to say that.

I think its score of 98 on RT is deserved.

I was referring to the average rating being close to the meta score. But I still think you're in the minority on your Zootopia rating.

Wait, we're talking Metacritic now? I was talking only RT % vs RT average score.

I never mentioned RT overall score. I believe Rotten Tomatoes is accurate usually. There are some exceptions (MCU films).

Zootopia is SJW'd and boring. It deserved a score in the 50s.

The shamefully under-appreciated Not Another Teen Movie's 29% RT score isn't really inexplicable - after all, RT has no respect for comedy, especially spoofs - but where else are you going to see Captain America dating Supergirl's sister?

I would have hard time focusing on anything other than Chris Evans' butt in that movie to notice who he's dating.

Chyler Leigh's butt is equally admirable.

A recent one: Passengers.

It's very well liked here on the board, but critics completely torched it. Why?

Social justice warriors posing as film reviewers gave low ratings to Passengers to try to discourage people from seeing it because of the movie's central ethical dilemna, rather than using it as a starting point for discussion.

This article, Film Critics Are Lying To You, describes this covert action, and also this Reddit thread debates it.

Thanks, it clarifies the unfair treatment it's mostly getting.

I haven't seen it, but blaming critics for its failure is so ridiculous. If people want to see a film, they'll see a film.

Probably finally sit down and be like "yo, time to have sex with my hand".

Indeed, Home Alone should not be rotten.
