This is what I will try to get to this week.......

Casablanca (1942) - 7 pts
50 First Dates (2004) - 4 pts
Say Anything (1989) - 5 pts
Titanic (1997) - 5 pts
The Hours (2002) - 5 pts
Terminator Trilogy - 15 pts
Steven Spielberg Sci-Fi Trilogy (Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and Minority Report) - 17 pts
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - 7 pts

*Alien Quintology (Alien through Alien vs. Predator) - 27 pts -- Only if I can get my hands on Aliens and Alien 3 sometime during the week.

*The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - 5 pts -- I'll watch this again if I can get points for it.

I'm going to have to watch a lot of other movies if I want to stay in 3rd.

I like the sci/fi list. I'll try to watch the Terminator movies tomorrow.

Also, I watched Twelve Monkeys earlier today, but before the lists were posted. Do I get points?

Yes, I'll add retroactive points for yesterday. I will need to change that with tonight's update.

BTTF, any luck finding War and Peace? All 8-ish hours of it?

There's only a handful from the genre list that I don't own.

Can we rewatch films for points?

You can rewatch films but the bonus points will not apply.

Emmy from what I understand, we can't get points for having previously watched a film that's now on a bonus list. And we can't rewatch films for bonus points, just base points.

I watched Annie Hall a while ago and I know I'm not getting bonus points now. But if you watched a film yesterday and it ended up on the bonus list that was posted late, I believe that's ok and a different issue.

Also, I believe Rogue wants issues PM'd to him directly.

The question of the week: Would you sit through a four hour movie from 1939 without much action for 10 points? ;)

I think the race for 2nd place is the most exciting.

Watching last week's horror bonus lists was the only way anyone could have possibly caught up to me (I don't own any Friday the 13th or Nightmare or Halloween films except for F Vs J).

Since that threat has now passed, unless I choose to no longer play or there's a huge personal issue that arises, I'll be far out in the lead until May.

Go Zing and Jmart. =D>

What's great about this game is that I'm getting to watch a lot of DVDs I normally don't get to watch. My wife commented on it today while I was going throught this weeks list and taking the DVDs off the shelf to schedule my viewings.

Thanks Rogue

I'm going to lose my hold on second place this week. I can feel it. I'm going to Boston on Thursday (until Sunday), so I won't be able to watch a lot of movies. I'll be taking my portable DVD player, though, so don't think I won't be watching anything.

Just watch a film a day. The key is, stick to the bonus list.

That's my plan. It'll be tough to get movies into my schedule, though, since it's more of a trip with a purpose, instead of vacation.

Still, I'll keep myself busy during the night.

I've seen four movies today, so I'm basically done. Oscar time. Unless my school's closed tomorrow (major storm coming).

I have not updated points for this evening. Your total will be included with the next update (around 11:30).

After some time off, I finally get to see some movies yesterday and today. Actually just two. The Phantom Menace and The Village.

I expected to dislike greatly The Village, but actually it was ok movie. Might be perhaps I knew all of the spoilers before watching it.

Some things bugs me still about it. Unbelievability of it all. 'Terminating' Lucius from the movie (though he wasn't that great to begin with). Then, do only Elders know the whole truth? If so, then poor those 4 women that bred all those youngsters and kids. And who did mutilate all those animals? I must have missed that...Noah? Kids saw creature in village, and Noah apparently got the suit when Ivy went for medicine.

Also, I didn't like modern world 'twist', Ivy seeing colours, some editing (Ivy's running away from monster, shot of trees, Ivy's again running away from monster, again shot of trees) and I absolutely loathe that shot of M. Night's reflection on medical cabinet glass.

We try to keep all issues private (nudge Dolcevita), however, we shall see how this develops.
