Was a delightful surprise. Despite mixed reviews, I really liked it. It barely makes my Top 10 of 2007.
Sienna Miller was absolutely wonderful! I don't get why she isn't a much bigger star already.

I think a lot of people here will like this, so if it's playing near you, skip a mediocre blockbuster and go see this.
It might not be the most believable story, and the characters inspire conflicting feelings in the viewer, which I think is why some reviewers didn't like it, because they were emotionally confused at the end (which I think was intentional).

If this were a bigger movie with more positive reviews, Sienna would've gotten an Oscar nod for this.

Oh...and it's extremely short.

I'm really looking forward to this. The trailer has something special and everytime I see it I get more excited about the film...hopefully not just setting myself up for disappointment. I think I'll enjoy it. No idea when/if it'll open here though.

I was somewhat disappointed.

As a performer's showcase, it is great. As a character study, not so much. The whole thing is almost completely implausible. The characters' actions lack any kind of justification at all. The twist at the end only creates more questions about their actions earlier in the film. Both Katya and Pierre are anything but consistent.

Both Buscemi and Miller (this is the first film I like Miller in) are great though. Watching them tear each other apart hasn't been this much since...well, Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. Oddly enough in the end the film is more entertaining than it is enlightening. It also did make me want to watch the original.

My opinion of this has really gone down. B- maybe. Sienna Miller was still great though. It was more entertaining than it was good.
