My Neighbour Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Spirited Away
Howls Moving Castle
Princess Mononoke
Grave of the Fireflies
Castle in the Sky

All great films, though Totoro is the only absolutely perfect one, and on my all-time top ten list...

(Also, there's some great news. Miyazaki, who has been threatening to retire for quite some time now, is making another film -- Ponyo on a Cliff -- to be released in Japan in 2008!)

I can't really rank them, as I've only seen Spirited Away and 15 minutes of Nausicaa. Spirited Away was great though.

I wouldn't rank Grave of the Fireflies since... I barely remember it, and I didn't really like it. Maybe it was because I watched the dubbed version.

Spirited Away was fine, Princess Mononoke gave me a headache. Whatever. I can't really watch anime. I have a serious aesthetic aversion to it. It makes my skin crawl. I can't stand to look at it.

I'd love to be open to anything, but man...I just find it so visually repulsive. I ain't proud of it, but there ya go.

It's not a measured reaction, just a gut thing; I can't stand to look at anime, even for a second. Even as I enjoyed Spirited Away in bits and spurts I had to suffer just to get through the end.

Bizarre, I know. Yet I can think of no greater personal turn off. Even a cursory glance during some unfortunate channel surfing makes me cringe and my stomach tighten, just a little.

I wonder if it constitutes a phobia.

I know Kiki has received some criticism for being a bit bland, but i completely fell into the story. I was a little befuddled by the cat not being able to talk at the end, but having read the director's reasons i'm satisfied if not a little irked.

Only a couple left to see now :(

I'm jealous you've seen Cagliostro, where'd you find it? It's not Ghibli, but it's the only Miyazaki I haven't seen (not counting Ponyo of course).
