Hot!

L'amore della mia vita... I have my place to myself next weekend. So not only am I going to watch Suspiria. I'm going to watch it ALONE in a dark empty part of town (sort of).

I might be up ALL night freaking out on the net and making people post to prove to me they're alive.

LMR...this is the page you want to sign up to to participate in the festival.

All done!

Dolce, you are gonna love Suspiria. It's like a moving painting. Nothing you've ever seen before can get you ready for what Suspiria is like. Argento is an absolute master.

What day? lol. Maybe to get the festival started with a bang, we'll have an official "Suspiria" watching day. And, just like a group of drunkies in front of a TV with some potato chips, we can comment on each scene. lovemerox, terminator, and baumer will have to join as well. ;)

And maybe, just MAYBE, Eagle/KJ can set up a chat. That'd be fun, heh.

I could probably watch it with you guys on Saturday. Friday night is The Grudge. Saturday is a "maybe" because our local indie theater is getting I Heart Huckabees. I might be able to swing it, though.

Someone has GOT to pm baumer and termi about this except me. y'all know how many pm's i;ve been sending out of late...everyone on this forum must already think i'm a nagging old hag.

Yes....Suspiria it is. I will do it which ever day is most convenient for everyone else who's in on it!

Hmm...I'll probably see the Grudge, but I'll save it for Halloween. We've got a four day weekend - Saturday, Sunday, Monday (Professional Day) and Tuesday (Election Day). I better not sneak into it, or else the gods might strike me and give the guy another four years.

Saturday works, then. What time zone are you in, makeshift? :P

Has Dan (baumer) been here since his "hello" post? I'd love for him to join in, I just don't know if he'll be around....

Term will probably go for it.

Yeah Coaster!

Starting from Friday 10.22.04 through the following Sunday 10 days later, just watch a couple of Itlian Horror films and then come to this thread to discuss them.

Also, there is a *special event* where a whole bunch of us are trying to all watch Dario Argento's "Suspiria" on Saturday Night and then come on and discuss it? Torrino has set up a stickied announcement about it.

Also, There are a couple other countries, so if you want to peak into them as well check them out. If you think you'll watch a Canadian film sometime during those ten days, post on the Canadian film thread about it to discuss, etc.

Any questions?

Just to let you guys (and gals) known, IFC is being their typical rad self and showing Italian horror on Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st. This is a chance to catch several of the flicks on my list uncut, in widescreen, and with digital sound/picture! Here's the listings:

Saturday, October 30th:

8:00 PM - Dario Argento: An Eye For Horror
9:00 PM - Suspiria
10:45 PM - Inferno
12:45 AM - Deep Red

All three of these are essential Italian horror, and I can not recommend them enough. Be sure to stay awake for Deep Red. It's Argento's second best.

Sunday, October 31st:

8:00 PM - Mario Bava: Maestro Of The Macabre
9:00 PM - Black Sunday
10:30 PM - A Bay Of Blood
12:00 AM - Baron Blood

When I saw this, my jaw hit the floor. Bava?! On American TV?! You simply must see A Bay Of Blood, if no other reason then to see the film that Friday the 13th got it's idea from, and one helluva of a twisted ending.

So, if you have digital cable (or some kind of sattelite service), you should get IFC. Please, please tune into at least a couple of these flicks. You guys will love 'em.
