chak de india and Tare Zameen Par are the only 2 great films this year.

Everything else was just typical comedy, masala and action movies which btw i love.

Most films these year were entertaining but easily forgetful...

When we look at each year we remember 2-3 film and when we go back further in time we remember fewer and fewer great films.

So I like those old great film plus some of the new Film...

U should look out for JOKER a futuristic superhero movie coming out in 2009 and LOVE STORY 2050 coming out this year that is a futuristic love story movie in which Weta provided the visual effects!

actually the new Emperor film with Hitrick and Ash looks good.

Umm i don't know. I don't think it will match mughal-e-azam which is a classic. Still it should be good since the director of the film is none other than Ashutosh Gowariker who directed LAGAAN and SWADES. Both are great films but LAGAAN is amazing. Hrithik is a superstar and aishwarya is very popular. I hope the movie is a hit.

The music for the movie came out recently and people have been praising it a lot. I listened some songs and i must admit i hate period movie music but this was an exception. But that was expected since the music has been provided by AR Rehman, the most talented music director in bollywood.

I dislike most peroid films but Mughal-E-Azam was a really beautiful film.

I heard in todays money the budget for the film would be around 40 crore which is the budget of the most expensive films today.

I hope it becomes a hit, only if it is a great film.

re watched Guru today, imo it was easily the best film of 2007.

Really at the ending of the film I seriously was thinking it was amitabh Bachan who was playing that part. He played 100% like his father did in his early films. That angry men role he is famous for and we still remember him by. The way he was speaking, the way he looked it was how his father used to act like and talk like at the ending of his films where the world and life is ending around him and he then goes on for 5-10 mins in a long speech but you just sit there staring with awe.

It is nice to his son is perfect at that role as well and will become a huge actor no doubt.

Hitrick, Salman, and Shah Rukh are great but are to much of the lover type, nice to see abhsiek can do the angry man roles really well and better then all of them.

Go watch JODHA AKBAR. It is getting good reviews but not amazing.

Jodhaa Akbar is no Mughal-E-Azam but it was a good blockbuster film for once in bollywoood.

I actually knew it won't be the next mughal-e-azam but definitely a good movie with great performances, music and some nice cinematography.

India has a cool history.

The movie was nice but it did not have a knockout wow factor you saw in Mughal-e-azam when the girl sings that famous song in the palace of mirrors. Everything looks in that scene.

Your just amazed that the film is 48 years old when you watch that scene.

Jodha Akbar has some good scenes like the one with the sufi's and the final battle was tense and well done.

Mughal-e-azam was the most expensive movie for its time and inflation adjusted is the most expensive movie ever in bollywood.

Ya i am really looking forward to live action Ramayana movie but it will take years to make that.

Three films were very good.

This year we get our first futuristic movie though it won't be 100% future. It is called love story 2050. It will have love story but also has action and sfx provided by weta and some other companies but on a budget of 10-15 million. So expecting hollywood quality visual effects will be wrong.

2007 was indeed a weak year. I was able to only catch 3 movies last year tho. Om Shanti Om which was very entertaining. Chak De India which was actually very good. And then the god awful Saawariya. Though I loved Bhasali's Devdas and Black.

That gave me headaches. So much talent went waste in that movie. It was sony's first indian flick and they released it against OSO. It got terrible reviews and bombed at boxoffice. Ya in india reviews actually work a lot. If a movie gets bad reviews it is guaranteed to bomb or completely die after the weekend.

So far this year the biggest hit is Race and the best film is Jodha Akbar...

Ya it got the second biggest opening of all time after om shanti om.

It is all set to do 75+ crore nett at indian boxoffice.

Tashan is a highly anticipated flick from the same studio who brought Dhoom and dhoom 2 and they just started marketing last weekend. It comes out april 25th and is on track to beating the opening of RACE and has a good chance of beating OSO too.

I thought race was entertaining and had way too many twists in it. But still some of the twists were damn good.

Next anticipated movie - TASHAN

agreed too bad period films like Jodha Akbar don't do well in india. But nonetheless JA is a superhit in india thanks to combo star power of Hrithik and Aish. 60+ crore nett boxoffice in india and 2nd biggest bollywood film of all time overseas.

good to see Jodha Akbar was such a huge hit.

so since Jodha Akbar we had Race which was decent, however Tashan sucked however Sarkar Raj easily seem will be a quality film that will be a huge blockbuster which is rare sight these days.

Then there is that film called Singh is King which is expected to be the biggest film of the year. However I am happy the Akshay Khanna finally has a flop film.

Tashan was indeed a horrible film. I like akki and he was fine it but man the story and performances by other actors were sooooooooooooooooooooo bad. Pathetic movie and it flopped.

Akshay Khanna is the guy who played as saif ali's brother in Race.

I am looking forward to LOVE STORY 2050.
