SAG is a little more friendly to black actors I think, but I always liked the idea of DiCaprio being in danger this year.

RIP May December, Melton getting nominated would be cool but Sterling K Brown good will makes sense and there was a math problem with RDJ, Gosling, De Niro and a Poor Things actor. I'm happy to see Dafoe take over as the Poor Things nominee.

The Holdovers may not have had a big enough cast.

AF still hasn't gotten much of a release so it's box office run will be interesting considering it's getting a lot of awards attention and keeping its momentum. How will it do when people actually start watching it?

American Fiction is the only movie I could see taking BP from Oppenheimer at this point.

Yeah no May December is weird. Hope Melton gets the Oscar nom.

Color Purple will probably get the BP nom and nothing else at the Scars lol

Skimming through and it looks bad for Killers and Poor Things. However, some of the nominees are very random and I doubt the oscars will match 100%.

I'm not feeling the Holdovers as a possible Green Book winner anymore, you can say 3 person movie didn't qualify for ensemble but I think getting Sessa here and winning Comedy at the Globes would have been better sign, same for if Barbie had won and had got Ferrera here. American Fiction may be that Green Book sleeper instead but I heard mixed things about how it spends half its time in family drama plot instead of the main book storyline. I think Poor Things is still in play vs Oppenheimer. Edit - Actually I just realized it missed SAG ensemble too, that might be the end of its winning chances.

Yeah that was why I said only American Fiction could steal it away, however unlikely

I think in the future there should a category for Non-Traditional Performance to include voice over work, motion capture, and puppetry

Looks like Gladstone is winning. And Murphy.

SAG always has liked giving awards to minorities.
