B+ here. It's really good but not one of my favorites. I think the best Disney animated movies are The Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland.

The Little Mermaid :thumbsup:

No I just don't find warbling of simplistic songs to be very entertaining.

7/10 -> B-

Well this was disappointing. I haven't seen Aladdin since the mid-90s. And it would've been better if I didn't rewatch it. It's not as fun and good as I remembered it to be.

The songs are horrible. I actually fell asleep during the Aladdin and Jasmine duet, I woke up and they were still at it. It was like a musical hell that never ends. But while it's not hurting my ears with horrible songs it's actually a good animated movie. It features an OK story. The jokes are outdated and Iago is a horrible, horrible character, but it has its charms. Definitely not one of the stronger Disney offerings...

Not quite as good as Beauty and the Beast, but easily one of Disney’s best regardless. It has plenty of whimsy, even if it lacks the emotional complexity of Beauty. And it manages to feel equal parts dramatic and lighthearted fun without the tones ever really clashing. Following the Lion King Disney would never nail the tone quite again until IMO Princess and the Frog. Genie is great, even if he feels slightly like he’s in a different movie. And Jafar continues the streak of memorable villains, though I think Gaston is the most interesting of this period.
