Re: Children of Men
Snrub, if that unidentified guest were to give his/her review of the film, what do you think he or she would say?

Re: Children of Men
This thread has approximately one reply for every 50k the film made domestically. The Dark Knight thread has (approximately) one reply for every 350k the film made (assuming 500mil total).
I believe that means that this thread is 7 times more successful than The Dark Knight's thread.
In other words, if Children of Men made as much as The Dark Knight, this thread would be approaching 5000 posts right now.

Re: Children of Men
But my bet is this unidentified guest would be relatively new to the whole forum thing, and thus not understand that they didn't have to make a new post for every point they wanted to make.

Re: Children of Men
So they might have a qualm with the film (not long enough perhaps? that it's too good?), but take about two or three posts to really get that across.

Re: Children of Men
Snrub we need to shift gears. Where is your pantomime video? We need something to attract the silent film crowd here.

I love the scene where Theo takes Kee to Jasper's house and Jasper offers a joint to Kee's midwife. I think it's priceless when he asks her what it tastes like and she says strawberries with utter amazement!

I love the scene when it's over.
And the lights turn on... because it's over.
Because it's a horrible movie.

Absolutely love this film. One of the best films from this decade.

Re: Children of Men
Very good film. The story was fantastic, and so was the tone of the film. Very deserving of all the praise it has recieved. I need to see it again.

Re: Children of Men
You guys were right, this was a masterpiece! Countless great scenes, rivaling The Godfather Part I, and with them all strung together, a powerful film! How the fuck this lost cinematography is beyond words for me. My only complaint is that it was too short.
Is it better than The Dark Knight, you know I might join that club Snrub, and I love the Dark Knight.
A+ or 10/10

Re: Children of Men
I have watched this two more times, and it just might be one of the best films as well as one of my favorites. The story is both an eye opener, and beautiful, not to mention the movie as a whole is amazingly entertaining as well. Magnus once said when a film hits you brilliantly with education, emotions, and entertainment, the Three Es, then you have one of the best films ever made, and well I guess that makes Children of Men one of the best films ever made.

There's still something that feels off about the dialog or their deliveries for me.
