Awesome Awesome movie, just like Old School and Road trip, this is a movie that if your a guy that has been born in the last 25 years its completely relatable at how just a little push can make typical male behavior look so absurdly hysterical. He picks his cast great in every film and they fit into his direction perfectly.

A+

The first really non frat pack or Apatow and co. comedy that was awesome since god knows when.

Great stuff. Every character was fantastic, especially Zach. Only disappointed there wasn't more of the always funny Justin Bartha. It seemed like he brought the group dynamic to its peak, that's what only kept me from loving it. Ed Helm's song and the security tape of Mike Tyson's yard were tops for me.

B+

This movie is incredibly funny, but not perfect. It definitely ranks among my
favorite comedies, but I'd have to see it several times to see now it holds up
without a crowd before specifically ranking it. There are a few jokes that fall
flat, but that is really the movies only weakness. I never give comedies like
this an A though, so I give it a B+. That's the same grade I gave Wedding
Crashers, Dumb and Dumber, and Office Space.

Not really that hilarious; the set-ups are great, and often ingenious, but there's something lacking in the execution. Just like torri, I found myself chuckling more often than laughing out loud. There's something to be admired, I suppose, in the use of an actual plot, instead of just a series of skits, but it doesn't always work the best for the raw humour. It's not even as funny as Wedding Crashers, to my dismay (though it at least wasn't cursed with a terrible, terrible third act).

Meh.

Yet to post in this thread, but will do now. Anyways, the movie is hilarious, memorable and a lot of fun. I've seen it three times already and each time the crowds response has been the same (huge laughs + applause). A-.

I still liked it, though.

I like this. It's very funny and the whole quasi-detective aspect is plenty of fun. I'd say its more varied humor allows for it to be a better film than ILYM, but it doesn't come close to the grand levels of FSM/KU.

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

Post Re: The Hangover
2009 has shown once already that you don't need the Apatow gang to make a wonderful comedy as seen with I Love You, Man. The Hangover can be added to this list as well as a wonderful comedy that sold itself more on story than actors and benefits in a large way. With a cast of not your everyday hotshots, The Hangover hits all the high notes. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha all play their roles out very well but the true star is Zach Galifianakis. Just about everyone of his lines was a priceless one that left you laughing over and over. The antics are completely ridculous but make the film that much more enjoyable. The end credit pictures were absolutely hilarious and I'm really suprised that the blowjob shots were kept in with the R rating. Its not the best comedy of the year (which still belongs to I Love You, Man) but it still is another plus in the list of great comedies out in the past few years. A-

I havent laughed this loud in a movie theater in a LONG time; probably not since Borat.

This movie is just so damn bizarre, but tis not "stupid random bizarre" like say, anchorman. Everything kind fo makes sense in its own hysterical way. All 4 leads work but I wouldntsay 1 shined compedy wise outside Gafiwhateverhisnameis; rather the film is just very clever.

This movie was soo funny and while watching it, I was covering my friends' eyes. lol. Really it is rated R for the nudity and that asian guy was frickin hilarious. It could have done without the end pictures of their "experience" while drunk, but an overall great movie.

if you get over the generally offensive premise and the fact that the film overextends its welcome towards the end, it's occasionally sort of hilarious.
