I liked a lot of the satire stuff actually, but the comedy was pretty hit and miss. I can't remember the last time a nearly full audience has been completely silent for almost an entire "funny" scene before (incarcerated got old FAST), and you know that there's a problem when all the funniest scenes are the most unnessecary. Still, Carrey was decent, and Tea Leoni was somewhat bearable, a career high for her. C+

I enjoyed the movie a lot. I liked the political and business undertone more than the funny moments. You have to like the part where Alec Baldwin says "now watch this shot". That scene is taken right from "W" and Farenheit 911.
B+ for my grade.

Fun time at the movies. The satire part rings very true. ATM part is the best scene.

Bland. Carrey hasn't been this bad in a while, if ever. It ranks with other mediocre Carrey comedies like The Cable Guy and Ace 2. I wouldn't really recommend it if you're looking for a laugh.

B-, better than expectations. What I found to be humorous in the movie seemed to come from the script and not from Jim Carrey.

The movie delivered what it promised: lighthearted and mostly dumb fun. Jim Carrey is pretty good once again here and he shows why he is still my all-time favorite comedian (and actor actually). He saves the movie from being entirely average. The movie's main problems lie in its genre mix-up. It tries to be a clever political satire and social commentary as well as a plain slapstick comedy all at once and it succeeds at neither of them, even though parts of all of them work. It's just that it doesn't completely work as a whole.
I still had a blast of a time at the film. Alec Baldwin also delivers a delightful performance. Téa Leoni was okay and certainly not as annoying as many decribed her to be. Not all of the gags in the film worked, but I actually found myself laughing way more often than I expected. The best thing about the film (apart from Carrey's great performance) is the fact that the best jokes were not spoiled in the trailer for once.
An enjoyable, but rather forgettable fun fare, it is. Kudos to Carrey once more!
