Re: The Dark Knight
Bought it on DVD a few days ago and already watched it twice. While I still love it, I have to admit that the film somehow slows down or gets less interesting once the movie focuses more on Dent. I understand the importance of his story but it just brings the film down a notch for me. Still, it's the best film of the year (haven't seen Button yet who's the only one I could see dethroning TDK).

Re: The Dark Knight
OK. So I have a question about a certain scene. I think I remember of a scene in the hospital where Joker brings Dent/Two-Face a suit, and he looks into the mirror to see himself. Now there's a certain other forum where some people claim that scene does not exist, and some claim it exists. I don't have DVD, but people that do say the scene is not there. I saw the movie in theaters but some also say the scene was not in theaters. So those who have seen the movie like half a dozen times should know...

Re: The Dark Knight
Weird. But since this year started I started to imagine a lot of the things. Must be going off my mind. But this time some other people say they saw it so I wondered.

Maybe your thinking of the promotional shot of Ledger behind the stained glass?

Of course, we still have the aftershock waves of the IMAX re-release, and the horrible gnashing and groaning when it doesn't win the Oscar. But soon, we will live in a world where the shackles of hype are loosened so much that any eager slave can cast them off... Metacritic has TDK down to an 82% score and dropping, and there are several quite realistic reviews of the film available. I suggest starting with Stephanie Zacharek at Salon.com. For those just awakening from their hype-induced stupor... Welcome Back! while this review from Stephanie is one of here better ones it is still one of the worst reviews written in modern critic history. She is an absolute hack and joke and the fact that you would suggest one of her reviews is, quite frankly, disgusting.

I really like Stephanie Zackarek. She's always worth a read, even at those times when she's far too much of a textbook Paulette for her own good.

Regardless of whether your opinion is right or wrong in this particular case, that is an unusually bold 137th post for a forum like KJ from a member on only his 15th day after joining. Hmmmmm...

Re: The Dark Knight
Bump.
I shall be re-watching this film soon, possibly tomorrow, and wish to build up anticipation in order to turn my second viewing of the film into an event.
Indulge me. Or else.
