A little more detailed numbers from Lee (he got from showbizdata):

1 Batman Begins 8.373 -45%
2 Bewitched 7.955 NEW
3 Mr. and Mrs. Smith 5.120 -37%
4 Land of the Dead 4.399 NEW
5 Herbie: Fully Loaded 4.145 -
6 Madagascar 2.180 -33%
7 Longest Yard 1.666 -38%
8 Revenge of the Sith 1.611 -35%
9 Shark Boy & Lava Girl 1.054 -46%
10 Cinderella Man 0.967 -38%

My projections based on these before BOM's numbers are out:

1. Batman Begins - 26.5
2. Bewitched - 22.0
3. Mr. and Mrs. Smith - 16.0
4. Herbie: Fully Loaded - 13.5
5. Land of the Dead - 11.5
6. Madagascar - 7.2
7. Revenge of the Sith - 6.0
8. The Longest Yard - 5.2
9. Shark Boy & Lava Girl - 3.5
10. Cinderella Man - 3.3

Now the other question is which movie between Madagascar and Batman Begins will have the most final total?

Wow, when I was doing my Derby predictions on Wednesday night my predicted Friday numbers for the bottom five were:

Madagascar 2.105
Longest Yard 1.636
Revenge of the Sith 1.628
Shark Boy & Lava Girl 1.064
Cinderella Man 0.989

Ok.. I was wrong.. 8-[ Not bad for BATMAN.. I will more than take my lumps now, but first it's off to go for a dip in the pool.. It's 98 Degrees where I'm at..

waits for BKB to suddenly change his position on BB and state how much he loves it...either way BKB LOST

Dude, I did like it.. I definitely liked it a hell of alot better than the last 2 movies for sure, but I didn't think it was better than the 1st BATMAN 1989.. I still thought Burton gave Gotham City a much bettter, much more Gothic feel to it than Nolan did and while I thought Bale did a good job, I'm still more partial to Michael Keaton and I also thought Burton gave the Villians more flair and humor to work with.. It just sucks Michael Keaton went from being BATMAN to Herbie Rides Again..

Hmmm, anyone think BB and Sith might have surprisingly high Sat and Sun numbers if bad wom for Bewitched gets out quickly? It was the big detraction for holdovers, so who knows what audiances will watch this weekend if friends tell them Bewitched wasn't any good?

What about Batman Begins vs. Batman Returns? Which did you like better?

With BOM, Bewitched is $200,000+ lower, Batman Begins about $150,000 lower, and Land of the Dead $100,000+ lower. These definately make differences in projections.

PEACE, Mike ;)

I should never make predictions unless I have done extensive homework. I was gone much of the week, and didn't look hard into anything. I was wrong about Batman Begins, and I was too high on Bewitched, although I never publicly stated that I thought it would pull a 30 million opening, I did think it would.

Anyone else thinks that 7.7 is a bit dissapointing for a 80 Mio movie with big stars like Kidman and Ferell in it????????

Begins had a better increase on Friday then all the other Bat flicks, that should lead to a better Saturday increase aswell, maybe even 30%+ that would be just fantastic for the flick. Below 45% drop seems to be in store. It should be around 27m for the weekend, and some people said WOM doesnt matter for a comic flick =; pssh

No, because Kidman is not a star. She is close, but she is a 50-70 mill grosser every time.
