I think this movie acutlly may do it one of these weeks, either this or layer cake is what I'm guessing. I'm saying this since every summer starting in 2002 a pg/pg-13 film has been in the top 10 for a while (Greek wedding, Beckhem, Napolean)

what do you think?
I think rize could do it to...

In the immediate future, Rize may have the best chance of cracking top 10 in a weekend. During the summer, the No. 10 film usually can gross over 3M, so a limited release needs to have enough theaters and combined with strong PTA ($7500-10000 range) to have a shot.

I believe the independent film to be a summer top ten success will be MURDERBALL, the documentary about rugby lifestyles which tore up the festival circuit.

I forgot about that one! I saw the trailer yesterday and I think it looks really good. If it plays near me, which hopefully it will, I'll definetely check it out.

I think Rize definitely has a good shot. After that, maybe Nightwatch will if it gets a big enough audience. Could be another Kung Fu Hustle.

Kung Fu Hustle had one thing that Night Watch won't have. Good reviews. All people that I know that have seen Night Watch, they all disliked it.It stands at 6.4/10 at IMDB, as opposed to Kung Fu Hustle's 7.9/10. For foreign flicks to break out, they need to be regarded as really good. This one doesn't look like it's the case.

Guys, I don't think Rize will stay in the top twelve for long, it will drop at least 30% today. (It dropped 40% at my theater)

The reason why i thought rize would was i misread its pta, but its pta is lower then batman, bewitched, lotd, and herbie.
