This will be the follow up to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and will tie heavily into Thunderbolts, probably will feature cameos from Black Widow and Hawkeye characters as well.

Thinking a decline from Civil War to around 145m/350m unless Thunderbolts hype escalates, as most of the projects leading up to Thunderbolts so far have been met with a meh reception (TFATWS, Black Widow, Hawkeye, etc.)

Everything in these newly announced phases feels low-level, small, and uninteresting. I just get a feeling that the MCU is in big decline with the roster of projects on the table over the next few years, and this one feels like it will alienate or annoy people the most. Nobody wanted Anthony Mackie to be Captain America. I'll have to go sub $250 million again.

Even with the MCU being much bigger now than it was in 2014 + Inflation, this will likely not exceed CA: Winter Soldier.

Harrison Ford just joined replacing William Hurt. Feel this as another level of prestige now which will really help this. It's Ford's first time in the MCU and I'm instantly more interested now than I was after the TV show.

IJ4 and MCU, Ford will now have $100M+ movies in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s.

Interestingly, he'll also likely have $300M+ movies for every decade (assume CA will get there) other than the 90s, though with inflation he'd fly past that.

Budget is reported now at $350M-375M. I don't know what they were thinking. It's going to be $500M+ with marketing.

Damn. So even if this does a solid $650m globally - it will still disappoint.

Definite flop. Make a Cap America movie without Steve Rogers is terrible. Even with multiple Hulks in the movie.

Looks meh to me. Will under perform. Feels recycled to me. Another CA movie around Political intrigue. Change in actor here seems forced. I dont think they should have gone for a star. Look at how HP did the Dumbledore transition. Something similar should have been done here.

Cap'n 'merica: Black New World looks like a Winter Soldier-level actioner. And Anthony Mackie is awful. If it was anyone else it might work but that guy just isn't lead action star material. He looks like he adds 60lbs when not filming.

Pink Hulk will probably lure a lot of people, though.

I liked the trailer, it felt a bit more fresh than the Marvel get the McGuffin to stop the supernatural guy plots, Ford reversing his AFO role by playing a presumable bad guy president feels perfect to me, while Esposito seems to be switching it up here a bit as well if he doesn't talk and just shoots people.

Umm that's why it's budget is $350M-375M. They've done so many reshoot after reshoot as it's been testing badly for a while. Under $125M would not surprise me.
