LOTR: The War of the Rohirrim predictions
The trailer looks fine but not very accessible to the GA.
Probably 80-90m DOM.
I wonder how much extra it would’ve done if Miyazaki was directing it

Re: LOTR: The War of the Rohirrim predictions
Anime LOTR? I know they were probably thinking international audiences play, but it just feels wrong and like it shares nothing except the name especially if it has a new female lead character. I'd rather they have just made the original story again but with comedically over the top anime battles like Saruman and Gandalf one upping each other.

Looks terrible, i can’t decide if the brand will make it huge to maybe 100 million or just turn off anime fans as well as lotr fans and open to like 12 million. Anime seems to do better in the first couple months of the year, not holiday season

Yeah, this isn't going to do well.
$70m tops.

this is such an odd project. I hope it’s good just for artistic reasons I guess although I have no interest in seeing it. How is this opening in theaters?

The animation looks 1980s, barely an improvement over the 1978 Bashki film.

Re: LOTR: The War of the Rohirrim predictions
It looks like one of those dc animated movies that are released every year. It should have been released on hbo max. Think its gonna make about 60-70m, but wouldnt be suprised if it made less.

You guys are all nuts. $60-70m? $70m? $100m?
It's a $12m grosser for me, $25m tops. I don't think anyone will care about this. Only those diehard LOTR fans who would've happily masturbated to it at home via a streamer. Now they've got to discreetly do it at the back of the auditorium!
