 Cleopatra (2025) Rumors are coming out on this project and I think this has HUGE box office potential.
Mentioned as Denis Villeneuve’s next film after Dune 2. Will start Zendaya as Cleopatra.
Timothee Chalamet offered Octavious role. Looking to have Daniel Craig as Caesar.
The visual ambition of Villeneuve in ancient Egypt sounds super intriging.
Zendaya + Timothee in Dune 2 will bring this film even more buzz and anticipation.
This sounds like it would be a juicy role for Craig and could see him get into Oscar contention if he commits as well as Zendaya if she delivers.
There hasn't been a well received big production of Cleopatra considering the bad press, budget that almost bankrupted the studio, of the original 60s movie so think this could do really well with younger audiences especially.
With Napoleon and a Cleopatra movie, seems like the big historical epics could be making a big comeback if they both deliver.

Gaga would be perfect casting.

Re: Cleopatra (2025) If it's DV then it will be another bore-fest. And TC and Z are a couple means nothing. Nobody cares about these two.

Re: Cleopatra (2025) Things seem to be picking up on this one. Challengers will be a big test if Zendaya can anchor a film as Cleopatra will be a massive undertaking.

Gaga would be perfect casting. Agree. Charlize Theron 10 years ago would have been interesting.
