Keyser went 15 million on Heron so if it comes under 10 mil it could let some people back into it. Otherwise he would be hard to beat short of unlikely event of Aquaman doing awesome.

I am definitely too high on Heron. I thought they will go wide and dubbed. it seems subtitled and limited release. Only thing that could go my way is extended previews (its playing since late Nov in big markets) being rolled into OW.

Edit: I see show count for heron bump up quite a bit today. Its all about walkups. I feel better about double digit OW at this point.

Keyser is second lowest on Aquaman which will probably pan out, I think there is a small lane for Algren to challenge him though but Color Purple would need to really bomb as he predicted 7.5m.

Color Purple is going to do well. its having tons of group bookings and opening day presales are at blockbuster level. Though its skewed OD, its not opening that low.

However I am too high on Migration. I am thinking its opening mid teens at this point.

I'm feeling a Puss In Boots type run for Migration. I could see it do just under $20M and pull $120M+ purely from being the only kids movie out. Just feels no urgency on it whatsoever.

Only danger Keyser would be in is if Aquaman went high as Corpse predicted 56 million to his 35. Algren technically is alive but would need both Aquaman to do well and Color Purple to do horrific and he’d be lucky to have one of those things happen.

Aquaman is going to go south big time. So I am going to be too high on it :-) I am now thinking low 20s over the weekend. Color Purple Christmas sales are off the charts but it does fall after that. Still I think I am too low on that as well.

Soul, Luca, and Turning Red will all hit theaters in 2024, Disney announced Tuesday evening. Soul will get released on Jan. 12, Turning Red will hit theaters on Feb. 9, and Luca will drop on March 22.

The Taste of Things

I've seen this and it's very good and a big crowdpleaser. I wouldn't be shocked if this gets an expanded release and makes a decent amount of money with the Oscars. A Past Lives type run ($10M ish) wouldn't shock me to include it but shows limited on Mojo right now. Will get a decent amount of attention leading up to the Oscars and foodies will literally eat it up. There are scenes in this movie where they make elaborate French dishes over 20+ minutes and the audience I was with was "ooo and ahhing" the whole time. It's really a fun watch.
