Depends if they want back in but the odds of the next Avengers movie just being the same group from the first four have definitely gone up after this year. RDJ can get his fill of Oscar contention this year and then go back to Tom Cruise mode.

Reportedly Marvel is looking to replace Kang with Dr. Doom and somehow bring the original 6 back.

Out of the 6:
-Renner did the TV show so definitely would still want to be involved.
-Hemsworth did another Thor movie so would likely be up for it.
-Ruffalo ended up in She Hulk so certainly would be down for a reunion.
-Evans said never said never on returning but would get a bit complicated with a new CA.

RDJ and Scarlett really seem like the two that would decide it.

-Scarlett famously sued Disney and has only done MCU, animated or indie movies aside from Lucy 9 years ago.
-RDJ was in Oppenheimer but then also Dolittle. He has a mixed bag performance that feels fairly untested outside of the Marvel Universe. If Kevin really pushes and Disney pays up there's a chance?

Maybe Renner's recovery will also make it more likely to get the group all back together. 3 of the 6 are in their 50s so may be that big hurrah to do one more.

ViewerAnon who attends early screenings is saying that movie has still not been screened to critics. In the press junket this week they only showed 30 minutes of the movie. Disney has really fucked up with this. I would say even bad news is better than no news with this movie.

In a best case scenario, maybe there is a dramatic reveal and after the leaks in the past they are keeping a tight ship on it to keep expectations super low.

But probably it is not good news.

Final trailer was released today and features flashbacks to RDJ and Evans and featured Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. Looks like the studio is trying everything to drum up excitement and playing up nostalgia.

Its opening in Korea tomorrow(its already wednesday over there). Presales have been lowest ever for MCU in ages. its below Shang Chi over there and the movie has a korean actor in it !!!! this movie is going after Alice 2 sequel drop record WW.

Domestic I am thinking 6.5/7m previews and I think it will have final surge to take OW to 50-55m. But if reviews stink as I am hearing from grapevine, its going to collapse fast. Next week it will lose Imax/PLF to Hunger Games and so we could be looking at record drop for a MCU movie.

Lowest among MCU movies for ever. Audience rating 74% CGV / 7.4 Megabox / 7.44 Naver is like a C cinemascore. its presales for Thursday at CGV(largest chain in korea and around half of overall BO) is down 61% from horrible OD !!!!

France - Paris 2PM - 884 tickets. This is also historical low.

Hong Kong rating is below F4ntastic !!!! We are in for a wild ride this weekend. Its better than even a break out weekend :-)

Marvels got an out with the strike being over. Lots of press coverage will focus on that and not the fact that Marvels disappoints. It's kind of like Onward in March 2020. With Covid coming in it did horribly as a Pixar film but no one remembers.

Likely could happen with Marvels. The lack of cast promoting will be used as an out by the studio and industry as a whole for the disappointing box office of the fall though we know its because the movies weren't that sought after more or less.

I'm currently enjoying her on Lessons in Chemistry. I won't mind if she can cut ties with Marvel and do more interesting projects again. More stuff like she used to do. But she's the only reason I will go see The Marvels. It does actually look really enjoyable for a Marvel movie. But without her, I wouldn't care.

Brie and the cast will be able to start promoting it now with the strike being over. It will probably be too late, but it can't hurt.

I liked it alot. Definitely doesn't deserve to be the first MCU flop. Hopefully good wom will spread and save the weekend.

Starts at 83% verified(this requires tickets booked via Fandango). Still early days. But not a single overseas market has good user reviews.

The Incredible Hulk, Eternals and Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania all already bombed. Shang Chi barely broke even.
