Re: Weekend Estimates
Really bad for New Mutants. The terrible reviews didn't help but it still should have done a bit better than this.
Will be very interesting to see how Tenet does. I would think it could do over 20 Million.

Re: Weekend Estimates

Re: Weekend Estimates
Given that Unhinged managed to open with $4m last weekend this is a week opening for New Mutants.
I still think Tenet will do well but I don't see big numbers. Anything above $20m would be a win at this point

Re: Weekend Estimates
The most interesting number from this weekend's box office is Spongebob. It could give us clues on what the what the future box office in the pandemic might look like:
Mojo has these numbers for Spongebob:
Aug 14-16 1 $865,824 - 300 - $2,886 $865,824 1 Aug 21-23 2 $550,000 -36.5% 326 +26 $1,687 $1,415,824 2 Aug 28-30 3 $604,000 +9.8% 314 -12 $1,923 $2,019,824
It opened in Canada 3 weekends ago in 301 theaters. Spongebob's 4th weekend could be above its first as more people go to theaters over Labor Day. Canada typically is 8-10% of the domestic box office. Theater capacity also ranged from 20-40%.
Could we see mini MBFGW runs for the big tentpoles this fall?

Re: Weekend Estimates
Friday also seems to be much bigger. 45% for New Mutants, 40% for B&T, 36% for Unhinged.
